The Tar Heels, on Wednesday, made their sixth offer in the class of 2026, this one going to Finnish player Miikka Muurinen (whose mom played for UNC!). Muurinen, at 6’10, can do a little bit of everything and is going to be a great PF for whoever lands his services. Muurinen had a strong showing at Peach Jam, including shooting 50% from three. Jasper Johnson has cut his list to five schools – UNC, Kentucky, Arkansas, Louisville, and Alabama. Also…an interesting update concerning New Zealand’s Julius Halaifonua.

The Tar Heels attended ACC Football Kickoff on Thursday, represented by Conner Harrell, Max Johnson, Power Echols, Kaimon Rucker, and Omarion Hampton, along with JJ Jones acting as a reporter.

The North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball team officially released their 2024-25 non-conference schedule on Wednesday, which includes 12 matchups during the regular season – five games at the Dean E. Smith Center, five games at neutral sites, and two games in true road environments. North Carolina will play 12 non-conference games instead of the typical 11 because of playing a true road game at Hawai’I, which the NCAA rulebook allows to not count against the max 31 regular season games. Coach Bill Robinson also discusses the possibility of playing “5-out” this year and what that looks like.

It’s week 4 of the 2024-25 UNC Basketball Summer Roster Preview Series. In the first three installments, we worked our way through the three incoming freshmen: James Brown, Ian Jackson, and Drake Powell. We now turn to the sophomores, starting with Zayden High.
