  • Summary

  • Can you leave behind the chaos of perimenopause? What is awaiting you on the other side? Welcome to "Midlife Woman", a podcast for women who are transforming - physically, emotionally and spiritually. We talk about this very normal process in every woman's life. We share stories, we hear from experts who give information about hormones, genitourinary symptoms, pelvic floor issues, the often strange and confusing symptoms of perimenopause, sleep issues, memory, sex, passion, sensuality, relationships and what that "second spring" has in stock for you as you travel on your soul's journey. Host Karin Elias wants to empower women to celebrate this important transition . It's not a disease! It's not a secret! There's no shame being in menopause. Women give birth to the whole world, and when they are finished with that stage of their life, they can become joyful, sensual and wise guides to their peers and to younger generations.

Have you ever walked into a room only to stand there not knowing what you wanted? I have! I also frequently wake up at night, around 3 am with all kinds of thoughts going through my mind. Sometimes my hands and feet feel numb. I have sensitivities to food that suddenly appeared.

Describing these symptoms to my medical doctors sent me on a crazy journey of tests, wrong diagnosis and anxiety. I was confused and felt abandoned. Years later I connected the dots - I was in perimenopause.

I'm making this podcast for you - a woman in midlife going through hormonal changes. I share my story and the story of women who are on this journey. I talk with experts who support women on this journey. It's time we talked about Menopause and got more information and support. This is not a disease, nothing to be ashamed of. Every woman will go through it. It's an exciting, though often chaotic transition. On the other side is a confident, sensual woman who knows what she wants and what she won't put up with any longer.
