Monchi's Podcast: 004 Alex Story from Futurephonic

  • Summary

  • Alex first made his name as a founding member of Sonic Species, co-writing their first album before departing to explore other artistic interests. It was at this point that he co-founded Futurephonic with his friend Sam Morgan, starting with music production masterclasses featuring Psytrance icons, evolving into a platform offering sample packs, synth presets, and now, the groundbreaking MIDI software, Rhythmizer Ultra.

Beyond his work with Futurephonic, Alex has composed in various musical styles, including for web and TV, most recently collaborating on the project Takrar with filmmaker Waref Abu Quba. Alex also handles all visual graphics and video production for Futurephonic, designing in both 2D and 3D, from software GUIs to the adverts and demos.

Alex is now building his new studio in Berlin, Germany, where he will continue to advance the Rhythmizer project while expanding his musical horizons through new collaborations.
