  • NC 10: Sacred Masculine Embodied - Radical Ownership - James Greenshield
    Feb 18 2024

“If we stop saying “I am traumatized” and instead say I’m in a massive period of shifting right now. That has to cause a collapse to occur. Trauma is the collapse of the framework that I currently understand life from.” – James Greenshield

From my first connection with James about 10 years ago, as a guest presenter for “Grab Life By The Balls”, I’ve found him to be a beacon of inspiration and a demonstration of the Sacred Masculine. James had a massive career of 17 years in the Australian Army, training and leading over 100 men into Iraq. A roadside bomb exploding under his vehicle kicked him into a direction of a deep invitation to know himself. At the point of having a stellar career mapped out and a significant safety net (James articulates this as above him not below him) and reaching the opportunity to be promoted into the rank of Lieutenant Colonel he stepped away, but more so toward his place on the planet.

I’ve had many thoughts and conversations with friends in the past about where is the patterning of the Sacred Masculine. Where are the Elders/Sages/Sovereign Individuals who express, articulate and embody this? This has driven my own evolution into the loving depths of myself and the Wisdom of Divine/Source/Quantum and the expansion of who I am and am becoming. For me, James is an inspired embodiment of the Sacred Masculine, a leader who has Emerged with experiential authority. The real deal.

In this episode we dive into a nutrient dense conversation on identity, love, relationships, trauma, archetypes, initiations, birth, wound, death moments and much more. Through this there is an invitation, an inspiration for you to courageously step into the fullness of who and the big why of your existence.

This chat wasn’t just a nutritious meal, it was a buffet with a doggy bag, to gift you a taste of your own divine sustenance.

Indulge, share and courageously dive into the incredible Sol you are.

    Big Love

    Duncan (Brown Chief/Warrior)

  • NC 18: Wisdom Sequestered from an Ancient Landscape - Peter Andrews OAM
    Jul 29 2024

What an honour to sit with such an Elder in Peter Andrews OAM. I was joined with my sister Danielle and her partner Charles Body to have a beautiful conversation with Peter. I’m reminded of a quote I read from Caitlyn Johnson “Whomever controls the narrative controls the people” and the understanding of this is so pertinent when cracking open “popular” agendas. This chat with Peter is a perfect example of cracking the narrative and introducing, at the very least, a conversation that entertains possibilities beyond current agendas.

We delve into the incredible uniqueness of the continent of Australia. A continent that, in Peters eyes, holds the blueprint of how to create an incredible harmonious and fertile land, beyond what was there prior to humanity arriving. We touch on the impact of the flora and fauna with the use of fire, clearing and farming techniques imposed on what was a balanced, climate perfect ecosystem. Peter takes us through simple, yet powerful insight into the heating of the land, how water has been managed and sequestered dysfunctionally; that the gum tree is a sign of poor soil and ways to move water and nutrients throughout the environment. Peter also discusses how he witnessed the impact of a biodiverse pasture creating 5 champion racehorses and terminally sick cattle returning to optimised health.

All this wisdom has been gleaned from the greatest experiment and successful demonstration being the Australian continent. For decades, Peter has been bringing these insights forward and I can hear the frustration he has with the falling on conveniently deaf ears at the bureaucratic level. For me, I see that dynamic change occurs from the groundswell of critical thinking at an individual level, and Peter still has hopes that the political stage and scientific establishment need to be the way forward. This is more than a theory for Peter with a lifetime of evidence through application of this wisdom in many farms and rural holdings.

As a lot of us have developed a healthy critical thinking barometer of popular narratives, this is a conversation that invites you to also delve deeper into our stewardship of this amazing earth.

  • NC 12: Heal Birth Heal the Earth – Calling the Power of Birth Home – Carla Sargent

Heal Birth Heal the Earth – Calling the Power of Birth Home – Carla Sargent

“Carla is New Zealand’s leading authority on birth trauma. Her background in midwifery & her many years of experience in helping people heal from their birth trauma, combines to offer you reliable, compassionate and trusted support.” https://www.healingbirth.co.nz/

To encounter the mindset that, for a woman, her body is broken and needs to be outsourced to a model of “care” for her to birth, is creating an epidemic of disempowerment. The catch phrase “We’ll you’ve got a healthy baby” is the go-to rebuttal of anything that challenges accountability, retrospection, and deception of sovereignty. What this inhibits is the potentiality of creating an initiation into the innate power of a woman evolving into the new reality of mother and expression of motherhood. This “groomed” abdication of the innate woman’s sovereignty is creating a significant setting and experience of destabilisation in connection on multiple levels for the woman, child, parental unit and beyond. “Heal Birth Heal the Earth” is more than a proclamation it is an invitation to call our power and sovereignty home.

Carla and I connected through a beautiful mutual friend and my first podcast guest, Lynley. In that first episode, Lynley shared her emotional birth trauma and the healing space that Carla created which empowered her to reclaim this incredible aspect of womanhood. What an amazing and courageous Sol Carla is. It is so evident, through our conversation, that Carla is following her innate calling and tapping into that wisdom to support the healing of birth trauma and empower many women. For me, I can see this is an incredibly pivotal aspect of an individuals, and more so, humanities return to wholeness.

In our conversation we share aspects of our experiences of birth, Carla’s incredible ability to hold space, her courage to create a business to support birth trauma healing for woman, what the invitation is for woman to step into for their sovereignty, her amazing mothers courageous innate birth wisdom, fear as a grooming tool to abdicate women’s sovereignty, then the power and privilege of hearing those birth stories of the amazing women who have worked through their birth trauma, as well as so much more.

This wisdom is so incredible to share, not just with other mothers but also young woman and future mums and dads to be. I really encourage you to tap into Carla’s podcast “Healing Birth with Carla” or if you would love to reach out to Carla to step into the healing of your own birth trauma’s or would like to be trained to support women through their healing, please connect in via Carla’s website:

  • NC 9: Silent Warrior, Premature Menopause and the courage to journey in - Paula Johnson
    Feb 11 2024

“I journey in the world as an eclectic mix of boho hippie, spirited rebel and regular Kiwi gal with a ‘can-do’ attitude…” Paula Johnson

What a pleasure to share space with Paula during this conversation. Paula is an incredibly courageous woman navigating the cards that had fallen in a beautifully poetic way. Not surprisingly this led to her writing a book “Silent Warrior”, a very apt title that really demonstrates her realisation of to go through this experience of life it’s fundamentally an inward journey.

Her own life-changing catalyst arrived unannounced and unwelcome at the young age of 29, when Paula was diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure (Premature Menopause). This diagnosis set her on a journey, delving deep into the mental and emotional, the physical and the spiritual. Finding meaning became her mission – Why? Why had this happened? And the even bigger question – why was I here?

I absolutely loved this chat as we flowed through the evolution of her book, what a warrior is, defining courage, premature menopause, gift of heart motherhood, surrendering to the unknown and her gorgeous life expressions in business and empowerment of others.

To connect in with Paula with her workshops on writing your own book, Wanderlust website design or grabbing a copy of her amazing book, please jump on her websites to explore more of this amazing woman’s expression in life.

  • NC 6 - Evolution of Purpose - Nathan Maingard
    Jan 21 2024

"Purpose is not about what you are doing, it's about who you are." Nathan Maingard.

Nathan Maingard -Transformational Guide, Empowering Wordsmith, & Podcast Host

We Are Already Free - is the insight and affirmation that Nathan lives his life from. I first heard about Nathan, not through his amazing music career, but his wise long form poem "We are already free", that went viral through the chaos of 2021. A poem that was inspired to speak wisdom through the clouds of insanity, fear and division. Historically, artist have been the ones to shine light on absurdity, beauty, humanity, politics, and possibilities via their mediums of music and art. But there was an eerie quiet that beckoned for the space to be embraced and expressed into. That poem for me spoke a harmonic resonance into the chaos and opened up almost a question and even a dare "You know you are already free".

What a cracking chat with Nathan as we took a meander through his life. From his childhood of barefoot and free, to the world demanding he fit in and bowing his knee to this. But then his courage to surrender and leap into the unknown. We have a beautiful discussion around shame, "the big leap", sabotage patterns, letting go of identities, surrendering to the wisdom of the innate, his passion for holding space and its expression in his coaching space. Nathan is an incredible Sol and such a gift to share space with him in this podcast.

  • NC 16 - Alchemising Chaos- James Greenshield
    Jul 11 2024

“One person’s chaos is another person’s playground” – James Greenshield

I’m so honoured to be able to chat with this stella human being again.

They say when the student is ready the teacher appears. This is so incredibly pertinent for myself as I’ve been experiencing a level of “Chaos” that to me has been unparalleled in my life. There have been many opportunities (and tears) to desperately want to escape my current experience (or perception of it), but there is a knowing that, sitting at the core there is a liberation beyond what I could manipulate from utilisation of old tools/programs. A liberation that creates a beautiful harmony within and ultimately expressed harmonically out. What James brings forward is what I would call the “gaps between the notes”, the place where true harmony abides. James has a way of looking behind the curtain and articulating in “real” language a way of seeing what has been unseen from our own vantage point.

In this episode we dive into another nutrient dense conversation on chaos, leadership, union between the form and formless and much more. For us to move forward as an individual and community it must start from a level of realness. So, let’s get real.

For more information reach out and message James via the below links.

Sit back and enjoy this chat with James, indulge, share and courageously embrace the incredible Sol you are.

  • NC 15: Wisdom of the Land – Danielle MacMartin & Charles Body
    Mar 27 2024

I recorded this conversation just before I launched Nutritious Conversations and it’s one I’m really stoked to now bring to life on the podcast. Danni is my sister and one of the most incredible Sol’s I know. She has such a passion for life and this permeates into all facets of her beautiful presence. Danni’s partner Charles encapsulates such a healthy expression of the Sacred Masculine. His ability to hold space, not just in their relationship, but in his absolute passion for the land, flora and fauna of this beautiful earth is humbling. I love these two Sol’s immensely and am honoured to be their kin.

This conversation is one that will present a deeper enquiry of how do we be the best stewards of supporting Mother Nature? There are some challenging insight brought forward around how human’s have facilitated the damaging of the land over tens of thousands of years.

Danni and Charles live on the south coast of NSW. Their three hundred and sixty acre farm was right in the middle of the path of the fire storm that hit there several years ago. The decimation of native species from one burning event, eludes to asking the question, “Is fire the best way to manage earths environment?”. Couple this with, the pillaging farming practices and the hijacking and perversion of words such as sustainable, natural and organic, we are now at a unique crossroads in the trajectory of our land.

This is a great conversation to sit and listen to with an openness, that invites you to question popular narratives around the future of land management.
