On The Runs

By: Monday Night Media
  • Summary

  • We loves stories, it started with #CodeBrown, and as many runners have gone through an actual code brown experience, we truly love all stories around the sport of running. A code brown can be any type of “oh crap” moment, however we love stories of accomplishment, struggle, overcoming physical and mental obstacles and how the sport of running along with any type of physical fitness played a role into that individual’s journey. Join us and listen as we bring on guest to share their stories. Along the way we'll talk about what's relevant in the running community, highlighting key events across the world when they happen and what we're going through with our training and events throughout the year.

They highlight the importance of mental strength and the support they received from the Peloton community. Eric also suggest the idea of a Peloton PT series to provide specialized exercises and stretches for different injuries (Peloton?). Everyone shares their experiences at the Peloton studio and their first Peloton classes thanks to the amazing community that Jenene and her husband Josh built with team Wicked Smart Zone. They talk about the welcoming and supportive community at Peloton and the excitement and nerves they felt during their first visit. They also share some funny and memorable moments, including near Code Brown incidents. Jenene reveals her upcoming challenge of running the Chicago Marathon and fundraising for the Lung Cancer Foundation.

In the outro, Eric and Erika record from the church parking lot at the NH 10 Miler with Rachel, Sam, Jenn and Rachel. Two runners worth fighting

Listening to these two friends talk sparks so much joy and happiness. Which I don't like because when I run I use anger and spite to fuel my record setting pace. It's hard to have someone as your nemesis when they make you smile and laugh while sharing interesting stories. Steer clear of this podcast if you want to win your next 5k ultra.
