In this episode, I speak with Jane Roos, CAN Fund Founder, Artist, Speaker, and Gallery Owner. Jane's journey is nothing short of inspiring, as she shares her life story, which took a dramatic turn at a young age when she was involved in a tragic car accident that claimed the life of her best friend. This pivotal moment forced Jane to reevaluate her life and ultimately led her to discover her true purpose.
Jane describes how she has always been an entrepreneur, influenced by her athletic and artistic family background. Despite the challenges she faced after the accident, including multiple surgeries and the loss of her athletic and modelling careers, Jane found a way to channel her experiences into something positive. She founded CanFund, a charity dedicated to supporting Canadian athletes by providing them with financial assistance to pursue their dreams of competing on the world stage.
Jane emphasizes the importance of understanding one's "why" and living intentionally. She reflects on how the accident shifted her perspective, allowing her to appreciate life more deeply and encouraging her to help others. Jane's passion for supporting athletes is evident as she discusses CanFund's impact over the years, helping over 8,000 athletes achieve their goals.

What services, products or items do you offer?
One Word. One Country. One Collaboration Painting.
For the first time in history, Canadians from coast to coast are invited to share one word that captures what Canada means to them. Each is a personal reflection that will bring these words together in a first-of-its-kind collaborative painting titled Who We Are by artist Jane Roos, which tells the story of who we are as a country.
This is a national celebration of our collective identity, unity, and pride. Let’s rally behind our country one word at a time.
Canadians can submit their word(s) from now until the July 19th deadline by visiting: ourwords.ca
To submit their word, it is a $25 donation to CANFund to support the athletes who wear the Maple Leaf on the world stage. Each word will be included in the final painting, and every donation will receive a tax receipt, along with the name of the athlete supported.
