  • 875 | Sitting in the Chaos without Freaking Out
    Jun 30 2025

In this episode, I share a personal moment when I found myself in a hectic period, balancing work commitments and supporting my husband through his recovery from an injury. This whirlwind of activity led me to a moment of exhaustion, prompting me to listen to my body and take a much-needed break.

I shared this experience, highlighting the importance of embodiment work and how slowing down can help us process emotions and support our nervous systems. I received a challenging message that triggered a sense of contraction within me. I discussed how this contraction is often our subconscious mind signalling danger, and I encouraged listeners to recognize that feeling without attaching negative meanings to it.

00:01:15 - The Challenge of Subconscious Patterns
    00:02:30 - Navigating Busy Times and Self-Care

  • 874 | The Day I Stopped Chasing and Started Leading
    Jun 27 2025

In this episode, I share my thoughts on the common tendency to chase after goals—reaching a new income level, achieving a sold-out offer, or becoming the version of ourselves we aspire to be. I emphasize that instead of chasing these external validations, we should focus on becoming the person who embodies those goals. Chasing often stems from a place of lack, where we seek external validation to feel worthy. I share stories of individuals who achieved their goals only to find that they still felt unfulfilled, highlighting the importance of internal validation.

Throughout the episode, I explore leading from identity rather than chasing lack. I discuss how our nervous systems can become anxious when we feel we are not enough, leading to a constant state of seeking safety and validation. I encourage listeners to reflect on their definitions of success and safety and how these beliefs shape their actions.

    HIGHLIGHTS
00:01:00 - The Commonality of Feelings
00:02:00 - Shifting from Chasing to Becoming
    00:03:00 - Understanding Internal Safety

One Word. One Country. One Collaboration Painting.

For the first time in history, Canadians from coast to coast are invited to share one word that captures what Canada means to them. Each is a personal reflection that will bring these words together in a first-of-its-kind collaborative painting titled Who We Are by artist Jane Roos, which tells the story of who we are as a country.

This is a national celebration of our collective identity, unity, and pride. Let’s rally behind our country one word at a time.

Canadians can submit their word(s) from now until the July 19th deadline by visiting: ourwords.ca

To submit their word, it is a $25 donation to CANFund to support the athletes who wear the Maple Leaf on the world stage. Each word will be included in the final painting, and every donation will receive a tax receipt, along with the name of the athlete supported.

  • 872 | When the War Inside You Ends
    Jun 24 2025

In this episode, I discuss the internal conflict many of us experience, which I metaphorically call a "war" within ourselves. This internal struggle often arises when two parts of us desire different outcomes, leading to feelings of doubt, fear, and uncertainty. I explore how resisting these conflicting parts can perpetuate a cycle of self-sabotage and emotional turmoil.

Drawing from a recent in-person Outspoken Intensive, I introduce the powerful tool of Parts Integration, a technique rooted in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). This method allows individuals to recognize and reconcile their opposing parts, ultimately leading to alignment and peace. I emphasize that it's normal to have conflicting desires, such as wanting to grow a business while fearing the responsibilities that come with it.

  • 871 | When You Speak, You Heal
    Jun 20 2025

In this episode, I am talking about how sharing our stories can lead to deep healing. I reflect on my own journey of speaking out about my experiences, particularly around the challenges of dealing with teen substance abuse and the misconceptions I held about healing.

I emphasize that many of us often feel the need to have everything perfectly aligned before we share our truths, but this mindset can block our healing process. I share a pivotal moment from my past when I realized that speaking about my struggles not only helped me feel less alone but also opened doors to healing I never anticipated.

  • 869 | The Reason You’re Not Writing Your Book Yet
    Jun 16 2025

In this episode, I want to share the journey of writing a book. It's a dream for many, with 81% of people expressing a desire to write a book, yet fewer than 1% actually follow through and publish one. I want to challenge you to consider whether you want to be part of the 99% who never take that leap or join the less than 1% who do.

Throughout the episode, I explore the common fears and beliefs that hold aspiring authors back. Many struggle with feelings of inadequacy, fearing that their stories aren't significant enough or that they might hurt others. I emphasize that these fears often stem from a subconscious desire for safety and protection from exposure. It's crucial to recognize that the intent behind these fears is to keep you safe, but they can also prevent you from sharing your truth and helping others.
