  • E3 - Earn It Every Single Day
    Feb 9 2022

"I was brought into the world to do? Or is this what I was created for? To huddle under the blankets and stay warm?” - Marcus Aurelius

Today’s episode format was a bit different than the first two. As I have previously mentioned, in this podcast I am trying to highlight a variety of philosophies that can help us see things differently. I wanted to connect an ancient philosopher, Marcus Aurelius, with one of the icons of our times, Tom Brady.

  • E2 - Imagination or Reality
    Jan 31 2022
Today’s episode topic is “imagination or reality.” It is grounded on the quote from Seneca where he argues that, “we suffer more often in imagination than in reality.” In this episode, I make connections between the idea of improving the quality of our thoughts (Marcus Aurelius) through Stoicism, a philosophy of action, and the idea that we suffer more from imagination than reality (Seneca). I guess what I am trying to communicate is that if we make philosophy part of our lives and we train ourselves to quiet negative thoughts we should be able to focus on building relationships, enjoying life, and we will be open to exploring and learning new things.
