  • How Direct Primary Care Works With Insurance!
    Mar 26 2024

Today, we are joined by the owner of RevMed, Dr. Dan Moore. Dr. Dan is a local, on-call Direct Primary Care physician in Richmond, Virginia. Also joining us is Christian Mosier who is the President of a health benefit solution firm called BenX Consulting Group.

Direct primary care is an increasingly popular option for covering the cost of medical care. It’s an agreement you make directly with your provider and it doesn’t use insurance claims. Typically, this type of membership covers the cost of routine screenings, management of chronic conditions, and acute-care visits. But, If you have a Direct Primary Care plan, you may also need a high-deductible health plan to cover the cost of emergency or hospital services.

We thought it would be helpful for our listeners to have a conversation with both a Direct Primary Care Physician and an expert in the health insurance world to better explain how these two things can best work together.

    Jan 16 2024

Welcome to Richmond's only project-based learning high school! Today, host Jess Ellett talks to Dr. Hitchcock, who was named the second Head of School at Lynnhaven in 2023.

Lynnhaven School provides an innovative, small school model that deeply values and sees each student as an individual. They offer a stark contrast to traditional schools that often struggle with overcrowding and outdated industrial models. The modern era demands skills beyond rote learning and routine tasks because today's challenges require an understanding of context, the ability to ask pertinent questions, and the skill to find credible solutions in collaboration with a global workforce.

Dr. Hitchcock shares the great news about Lynnhavens long awaited return to Richmond and their new location on Parham Road, the ins and outs of how their small school environment allows for learning that is more personalized and the type of students that will really thrive at Lynnhaven!

Richmond parents who have children that are intellectually curious but perhaps not as suited for traditional education, this is information you need to hear. Their project-based curriculum really challenges children to think critically and creatively, thus preparing them for a world where adaptability and innovation are paramount.
