  • Ep 4 - Fast fashion and Thrifting with Amelia Dsouza

    Amelia Dsouza is a fashion model and co-founder of a thrift store called "forget me knot thrift shop. She is a full-time model and a college graduate in psychology and philosophy, along with her partner Amelia launched the thrift store during the lockdown. It was started as an initiative to raise funds for a mental health foundation, as well as a creative platform for the founders. Amelia’s knowledge and passion for fashion have been a big part of the drive behind the thrift store while doing it for a good cause. They have collaborated with designers, and local businesses to keep their store trendy while staying true to sustainability. Amelia has worked with many famous designers in her modelling career, starting her journey off with some of the biggest names in the Indian sustainable fashion scene such as Injiri, and Maku Textiles. She has also worked with labels such as Falguni Shane peacock, Good Earth, and FILA India, to name a few.

    NavSahyog foundation works in 189 villages across TN and Karnataka, with a goal to be present in 2000 villages by 2025, impacting 60,000 children on a daily basis. NavSahyog Foundation focuses on life skills and creativity for village children in the age group of 5-14 years ( their most impressionable age), so when they grow up they take to entrepreneurship, creating superior livelihood for themselves and others.
