    Jul 14 2024

On todays episode I have Leah Simmons, the founder of KAAIAA. Leah is a cerified pilates instructor, personal trainer and kundalini yoga teacher who radiates and shines good health. What makes Leah different to a lot of others in the wellness space is her desire to go beyond just the physcial self, she sees “fit” as the combination of mental, physcial, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. I have been fortunate enough to move and breathe with this powerhouse, and it truely is a life changing experience. I feel so grateful to have her on the mic today, so with that welcome to the pod!

Leah and I actually saw each other recently, we were both mentoring the IMG development models. It is so good to see agencies taking the initiative to teach their young talent mindfulness and breath-work!

  • 5 ways I fuel and nourish my body - Solo episode with me.
    Jun 30 2024

Today is a solo episode all about nourishment. I have had my ups and downs when it comes to how I fuel my body, but after years of trial and error I finally feel like I am in a really positive and balanced place. I am sharing my own personal experience and tips, and always encourage you to get your lab work done and see a nutritionist, because diet is so bioindividual.

A little back story of my own journey when it comes to nourishment, I would always resirct myself and hold off eating for as long as possible in the day. I know a lot of women can ressonate with this! For so long social media was showing fasting for women and coffee instead of breakfast. Now that I have delved into the wonderful world of nutrition, I now know how detrimental this can be for our health. As someone who is trying to get their period back after being on the birth control pill for over a decade, balancing my hormones is at the forefront of my wellness goals. There is a trending sound on Instagram at the moment which says “girls understanding eloctrolytes, filtered water, 30grams of protein before coffee” this is actually facts!

I will dive deeper into this on the pod, but in general today's episode is all about ways that I choose to fuel and nourish my body to perform its best!

Today’s episode is all about lympathic drainage, and more specificaly lympathic drainage massages! I have been obsessed with this detoxing mechanism for a long time but I feel like it’s really having its moment. A Lympathic drainage massage involves a gentle massage focusing on the lympathic system which is part of the immune system. I personally love it because it helps with water retention, my skin gets clearer, my mood is boosted and for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Today’s guest is the founder of Forme, Sophie Dulac. I recently visted Sophie and felt like I was on a cloud! We chat all about why lymphatic drainage massages are so important in modern society where facing toxins is almost inevitable, how to get the benefits without breaking the bank, how to look after our gut if we travel a lot and more.
