  • 02. Four Ways To Get Unstuck
    Jul 13 2023

In this episode, we talk about four ways you can get unstuck which includes triggering feel good hormones into your body among a few other steps

Dopamine is a rewarding feel good hormone and can be produced if you complete a task or practice self care for example. Do things you know you are good at which will naturally increase your confidence and feel good hormones as a result.

Oxytocin helps with bonding and to regulate cortisol levels which will manage stress when balanced. This affects your amygdala, the part of your brain where your emotions are processed, this is where fight or flight happens. Some examples are playing with a baby or petting a dog, or doing something nice for someone.

Endorphins helps to briefly mask the feeling of pain or discomfort we’re experiencing. You can do this by watching or listening to something that will make you laugh, call a friend who always makes you laugh, move your body even if it’s a walk or eat some dark chocolate

Serotonin helps us experience balance and stabilizes our mood creating a sense of calm. Spending time in greenery, meditating, getting sunlight are some examples.

I hope this helps anyone during an episode of feeling stuck.

  • 01. "Advice From The Future" with Peter Bernotas
    Jul 5 2023

Welcome to Soul Drive! I'm glad you're here

In this episode, I dive deep with an old teacher of mine who has lived through the twenties, thirties and fourties era. If you're listening in, these are likely eras you're moving through now.

We talk about the lessons of life in manifesting, marriage, friendship and an important question that many have a different view on, is love a weakness?

They say that hindsight is 20/20, so this is Advice From The Future.

  • The Introduction. Who Am I? What is Soul Drive?
    Jul 5 2023

Let me introduce myself. My name is Charlene Ward and creating Soul Drive has been in the making for a long time. I've always known that I valued depth in my relationships but I struggled with vulnerability my whole life. It lead me to anxiety and other paths that eventually made me feel so uncomfortable with the way I had always lived my life.

Podcasts gave me a sense of relatability and taught me so much about myself as I dated and befriended myself. As I learned about vulnerability, I realized nobody around me was having real conversations to connect deeper, so I started having them. First, with friends. Next, with strangers. I've learned so much through other people's stories which inspired me to create Soul Drive. A place of inclusivity, story telling and that showcases the art of resilience.
