By: Jason Jackson Kirk Morrison Reggie Jackson
  • Summary

  • The guys discuss & recap the coverage of the Negro Leagues Tribute game in Birmingham, Alabama. One of the many things that stood out were the stories that came out from former players of the Negro Leagues and players like Reggie Jackson who shared stories about their time playing in Alabama. Reggie also credits his teammates for helping him through that time in the late '60s. Kirk shares a thought from a colleague who attended the game at Rickwood Field and threw out the idea of naming the MLB All-Star Game after Willie Mays. Following that, the guys discuss the many reactions to JJ Redick's hiring as new Lakers head coach, from the initial hiring, introductory news conference, and the thought that folks are upset with JJ getting the job over others who have 'paid their dues'.
