In any election year, politics enter the workplace–whether they should or not. This raises incredibly difficult challenges for employees at all levels; but none more than leaders. Let’s discuss.

In every organization that has human’s, there will be poor performers at all levels. And, poor performance is relative to technical skills and emotional intelligence. And yet, people are often promoted based solely on the technical. This is a big challenge. Let’s talk about it.

It is very common for new leaders to want to put their stamp on the organization by making changes. This often leaves employees feeling anxious before the leadership even enters the picture. Some employees just let the change happen without leaning into it. Others just want to wait the leaders out. Meanwhile, leaders will defend the intentionality and need for their changes. All in all, it’s a difficult matter.

We are not products of our environment, we are products of how we respond to our environment. And Chris and Vince are responding to some changes in the environment that have begun to influence how we talk. This has brought us to a pivot that requires a discussion.
