That Greenwich Life

  • Summary

  • Hi, I’m Dorothy Cascerceri Simone, and I’m taking you on a glamorous ride inside one of the bougiest, over-the-top zip codes in the country where I’m peeling back the layers beyond the lavish, luxurious lifestyle of That Greenwich Life. I’ve spent years as a magazine editor and media personality. I’ve interviewed A-listers like Brad and Angelina and talked celebrity news on just about every major TV network. I’ve worked for People magazine, In Touch Weekly and Life & Style, but these days with a new baby and an 8-year-old, I’ve traded in red carpets for the lacrosse field sidelines of Greenwich CT – but make no mistake my shoe collection is not collecting dust. In a town of Bentleys and Birkin bags – I own neither – I’m not apologizing for wearing Forever 21 with my Fendi. Join me each episode for authentic and unfiltered conversations about the real, raw relatable human experiences we all share whether you have 50 dollars or 50 mill in the bank: We’re ALL struggling with something. Those BIG things in your life you wish you could change - the things that make 2am to 6am the hardest and longest part of the day. For me, it was a years-long trauma-filled fertility journey, but for you maybe it’s finding love, your career, your kids, your aging parents, or your marriage. Together, we’ll search for the best in the worst of times, find joy, peace and purpose in the mess, and transform, heal – and dare I say have loads of fun - as we grow. One thing I’ve learned is no matter how fancy or important you think you are, we are all joined on this journey called life. So let’s talk . About your life, my life. Our life. THAT GREENWICH LIFE. • Ep 12 - Oh No, No...I can never say NO!
    Aug 29 2024
The quote: “ ‘I just don’t want that for myself anymore’ is a valid enough reason to stop anything” kicked off this new episode about the power of the word NO. Too often we kill ourselves in the spirit of saying yes to everything – and everyone – and many of us are too afraid to create healthy boundaries.

Joining me to discuss this and more is my longtime friend, Public relations powerhouse Gwen Wunderlich, whose company Wunderlich Kaplan Communications has offices in NY, Miami and now Saudi Arabia. She has almost 27 years of experience working with the likes of Alicia Keyes, Bal Harbour Shops, Maserati, Swizz Beatz, the NFL and so much more – and she also created a program called The Enternship in 2014 to help women over 40 reinvent and reshift themselves. Her energy is electric, positive and exactly aligns with That Greenwich Life.

And stay tuned to the end of the episode for the weekly “Work ON.” Just like we all have our daily and weekly workouts, on That Greenwich Life, I’m leaving you each episode with your weekly “Work ON” -- something small you can think about and do during the week that brings you more peace, balance and introspection. • Ep 11- When Plan A Fails, Plan B Can Be Even Better
    Aug 22 2024

This week’s episode was supposed to be a solo ep, but the person who inspired it has been begging me to co-host the show, so this week I’m so thrilled to be joined by my 8-year-old son, Nicholas.

I’ve always said when Plan A doesn’t work out – we’re talking about the small things in your day-to-day and the larger things in life too – that Plan B is not always the “lesser, back-up plan.” In fact if we keep an open-mind, that B usually stands for Better. My son took it one step further a few weeks back saying, “Mom, the B is for ‘Better Than I Thought.’” It was a great reminder of how much our own stories and clinging to things can hold us back.

  • Ep 10 - But Which Is Scarier - Complacency Or Taking That Risk?
    Aug 15 2024
In this week's episode, joining me to share her inspiring leap is two-time Emmy award-winning national journalist turned entrepreneur, Jillian Mele. You’ve seen her on Fox & Friends and WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, but she walked away from her dream career because she knew she needed a change, and now she’s helping people shape and tell their stories through her latest business venture called Skill Studio. I’ve known her for 30 years, we’ve done a few TV segments together through the years, and I know you will love her story as much as I do because it is one of reinvention, courage and listening to your true self.
