The Fate of Humanity: Crucial Conversations for Our Survival

By: Lauren N. Nile
  • Summary

  • The Fate of Humanity is about two things: The oneness of humanity, and humanity’s path toward maturity. My central message is that as a species, we can mature beyond all prejudice and xenophobia, and we can also save our beautiful, fragile planet. We can begin to live lives that are consistent with the true power of our minds. We can grow up. I believe that at the end of each show, you will be aware of and understand many perspectives on issues of which you may formerly have been utterly unaware. My promise is that the show will usually educate and hopefully, often utterly fascinate you. The most important thing that I offer is an opportunity for you to gain or perhaps to regain your awe and wonderment about The Big Questions. It’s an opportunity for you to open your mind, and in so doing, to soften your heart.

  • The Reasons for Heritage History Months and Affirmative Action
    Dec 6 2017
In this, the tenth episode of The Fate of Humanity: Crucial Conversations for Our Survival, host Lauren N. Nile answers the following questions: Why do we have Black History Month and all those other heritage history months, and no month for the celebration of European American history? Isn't it racist to have a month for the history of all those other groups and not for the history of European Americans? And what about Affirmative Action? Isn't that reverse discrimination too? Selecting people for college and jobs based on race - isn't that the very thing we're trying to get away from? During this show, Lauren answers those questions clearly and directly. If you've ever wondered about the answers to them, or wish you could provide clearer, more persuasive answers when they arise, you definitely won't wont to miss this show. It's sure to be an eye-opener, and may leave you thinking, Wow. I finally understand! Why aren't we taught these things in high school?!
