  • S3EP31 | Breaking the Standards: Macy Pruett Talks Body Image, Confidence & Real Wellness

What if the hardest part of getting healthy isn’t changing your body but changing the way you see yourself?

My conversation with Macy Pruett, certified personal trainer, pre-and postnatal fitness coach, and founder of The Fittest Core, is an honest opportunity for all of us to take a deeper look at the beliefs we carry about body image, confidence, and self-worth. In this episode, Macy and I get real about the struggles so many people face when it comes to fitness and identity, unpacking the myths, pressures, and unrealistic expectations that shape the way we see ourselves.

Macy’s journey into women’s fitness was born out of real life and personal experience. Through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and the everyday challenges of motherhood, she created The Fittest Core to help women pursue strength, confidence, and overall wellness without chasing impossible standards. What started from her own needs quickly grew into something that connected deeply with women looking for a healthier and more sustainable approach to fitness and self-care.

Throughout our conversation, we both open up about our own insecurities, struggles with self-image, and the pressure that can come from fitness culture and social media. We talk about how our perspectives on health and body image have evolved through different seasons of life, the work it takes to care for yourself in healthier ways, and why confidence is never one-size-fits-all. When we begin to believe in ourselves differently, it changes the way we show up, not only for ourselves, but for the people we love and the lives we’re building.

  • S3EP30 | Finding Your Why | Burnout, Purpose & Identity with Rachel Marie Martin
    May 19 2026

Sometimes the hardest question isn’t “What should I do next?”, it’s “Why am I doing any of this at all?”

In this deeply honest and grounded conversation with Rachel Marie Martin, we dive into purpose, burnout, identity, and the search for meaning in the middle of everyday life. Rachel’s journey began with her online platform, Finding Joy, a space created to encourage, uplift, and remind people they are not alone in the middle of their struggles. Since then, she’s become a respected author, speaker, and entrepreneur, but what makes Rachel’s story so powerful is her willingness to be transparent about the hardship, uncertainty, and life experiences that shaped her along the way.

Life has a way of pulling us off course. It can leave us questioning our purpose, our faith, our worth, and whether the path we’re on still aligns with who we truly are. Rachel opens up about navigating difficult seasons, rebuilding her life from the inside out, and learning how to grow through pain instead of simply surviving it. Together, we unpack the challenge of trying to stay connected to the deeper reasons behind the work we do, the relationships we nurture, and the responsibilities that often consume us.

Rachel talks honestly about how easy it is to drift into survival mode, constantly moving without stopping long enough to ask ourselves whether we’re still aligned with what truly matters. The fear of slowing down and the challenge of believing we are already enough can expose parts of ourselves we’ve spent years avoiding. But those moments of honesty, the moments where we confront our passions, our fears, and our “why”, are often the places where healing and self-worth begin to take root.

This conversation doesn’t offer perfect answers or polished formulas for finding purpose, but it does create space for reflection, the kind that challenges you to look inward and recognize that clarity often comes through doing the deeper work. Sometimes the most pivotal moments in life happen when we finally clean out the hidden corners, allowing our experiences to become someone else’s healing blueprint.

Finding your “why” rarely happens in one big breakthrough moment, it’s usually discovered slowly. Through honesty and surrender, the decision to keep showing up is a big one. Purpose isn’t found all at once…it’s built every time you choose to try again.

  • S3EP29 | Inside Hospice Care: What It Means to Be Present at Life’s End
    May 12 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

What does it truly mean to care for someone at the end of their life, and how can we learn to see death not just through the lens of grief, but through dignity, compassion, and even celebration for a life fully lived?

As I sit down with Rhonda Lewis from the Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center to talk about the heart behind hospice care and the sacred role she serves as both a nurse and nursing supervisor, I’m reminded that death deserves the same tenderness, honor, and reverence that we so naturally give to birth. Rhonda’s work reveals how powerful it can be to simply show up for another human being during one of life’s most vulnerable and reflective transitions. What many fear as an ending can also become a deeply meaningful time filled with connection, peace, forgiveness, love, and presence.

Together, we explore what hospice truly is — not giving up, but choosing comfort, dignity, compassion, and quality of life for those nearing the end of their journey. Rhonda shares the reality of what she witnesses every day while caring for patients and supporting families through some of the most emotional moments they will ever face. We talk about grief, humanity, resilience, and the quiet strength it takes to walk beside someone in their final chapter. She opens up about how she carries the emotional weight of the work, what keeps her grounded, and why this path became her calling.

This episode is compassionate, honest, and deeply human — a conversation about life, purpose, and what it truly means to care for another person. In learning how to honor death with more grace and openness, we can also be reminded of the importance of living fully, loving deeply, and being present with the people who matter most.
