Are the fans of independent wrestling in Winnipeg spoiled? Mike Davidson thinks so. Between the WPW, Blaze Pro Wrestling, CWE, and Wrestling United, fan support has never been better. And the fans are getting treated to some great effort, solid performances and some great attractions. In the past month, Tommy Billington, Frankie Kazarian, D-Lo Brown, Harlon Abbott, Trent Seven, and Jody Threat have all popped up in Winnipeg. And there will be more to come. For fans, it’s a perfect time to show up, cheer loud, support and get full appreciation for their dedication to local independent wrestling.

Mike Davidson and “The Mecca” Shane Madison finally open up about if Wrestling United made a choice to not use certain talent on their shows or if the choice was made for them. And plenty of implications from that.

If you were at Wrestling United’s Summer Splash on Thursday night, you saw a pretty good show from a company that has only had 2 shows so far. Over 350 fans were in attendance and left happy. This week Mike Davidson & “The Mecca” Shane Madison go over everything that went into the event and led to success.

The breakdown of matches and talk about all the personnel in an expression of appreciation. You will get a full wrap up of the event with comprehensive coverage.

It was the first of 3 shows in Winnipeg in the span of 9 days, CWE held their Cruel Summer event featuring the first in ring match of D-Lo Brown in two years.

And this coming Friday Winnipeg Pro Wrestling returns with “I Know Who You Pinned Last Summer”, at the Blue Note Park. That show is sold out.

“The God of Thunder” Andy Anderson joins the show and talks about how he started at Chalmers Community Club in 1996 and by his 12 match was wrestling at Channel 5 studios in Memphis for Jerry Lawler’s USWA. He took on Brian Christopher. No mailbag this week but an all around great show.

Tension is in the air between two guys who have shared a 25 year friendship. Mike Davidson and “The Mecca” Shane Madison have been through it all, and now Wrestling United and the way it’s booked could cause some real trouble. Madison wasn’t crazy about wrestling TJ Cannon, Mike the booker decided it was in the best interests of the company. And now there is some friction.

Also, 82 year old legendary Canadian wrestling promoter Tony Condello recently experienced his first Uber ride. He was a little uneasy but he eventually got in the unlabelled car.

Imagine you go into a thrift store and buy a magazine, and a page in that magazine has a hidden treasure… BeezSheezer Jordan did that, and ended up coming into possession what is probably the earliest autograph that exists from Kenny Omega’s career. It was during his time for TRCW in late 2000 or very early 2001, and has an early version of the Omega autograph. I wonder what that might be worth?

WPW has sold over 500 tickets for the October show “Rumble At The Burt”. Their goal is 1500. Best of luck to them! And “The Mecca” & Mike Davidson debate whether Ricochet is leaving WWE.

WPW is putting their tickets on sale for their biggest show of the year- RUMBLE AT THE BURT with a Presale starting Monday morning at 10am!! And this is a STEAL of a deal, ticket prices start at only $15! The show takes place on October 24th at the historic Burton Cummings Theatre in downtown Winnipeg! Mustafa Ali is already signed to appear. If Winnipeg wrestling fans weren’t spoiled enough, Wrestling United have “The King of TNA” Frankie Kazarian coming in for their July 18th show, SUMMER SPLASH. Their tickets are on sale now and this is the second show for the company. But not all great news for Winnipeg fans. Buff Bagwell’s debut for Primos will not be happening on June 20th due to circumstances with the venue. “The Mecca” Shane Madison has wrestled in one cage match in his career. It was at a spot show in Michigan in 2001.
