    Climate change has greatly impacted tropical and subtropical countries like Sri Lanka and Australia. Host Hesandi Ravisinghe in Galle interviews Anastasia Kulikova in Sydney about how climate change has affected their respective countries.

    Hesandi and Anastasia talk about the rise of diseases such as dengue fever, forest fires, and heavy monsoon rain.

  • 'These girls are strong enough to follow their dreams'

    Since the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan in August 2021, girls have been banned from receiving a high school education there. WWC's Host Megan Lee in London interviews Sofiya Suleimenova, the international affairs section editor at Harbingers', about her involvement with the Journalism Project, a collaboration between the Oxford School for the Future of Journalism and the LEARN Afghan NGO to provide online journalism lessons to Afghan girls.


    Megan and Sofiya discuss the use of journalism as a way to empower voices of girls in repressive societies.
