  • I have aphasia. I am privileged because I can speak even though it is difficult sometimes, but I can get my message out. Imagine that you have your mouth is covered and you can only making intelligible sounds or even no sounds at all. And imagine that maybe you can't write or draw a picture. How do you let people know what you need? Or want? How do you let people know that you are in there? How do you let people know who you am? Do you love the indoors? Do you like comedy or fantasy movies? Do you like opera or Rush? Do you like coffee or tea, do you watch the news routinely or do you love a good potiical debate? Do you go to a church or a synagogue or do you align with the teachings of Budda?

    You are in there. I see you. And you are known, I promise.
