  • Protect the Gospel | Brandon Block
    Jul 15 2024

This week at Zion, Pastor Brandon Block gives us a look into Acts 20:13-38. In this passage, Paul is headed to Jerusalem where he will ultimately be tried and thrown into prison. He knows that trouble awaits him and he trusts the message of the gospel to the elders at Ephesus. Paul warns them that people will try to come and steal away and discredit the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the power of grace, and the truth hidden in it. In every letter that Paul writes, he reinforces the gospel with Jesus Christ and righteous living. Tune in to this episode to uncover the hidden truth and the power that comes with living by the Spirit rather than the striving nature of the flesh.

  • Wake Up | Josh Lester
    Jul 8 2024

Remember that falling asleep spiritually is a real and dangerous thing. It could be argued that it's more hazardous than falling asleep physically. The root of your spiritual sleep lies in two main areas: disappointment and bitterness. While bitterness has the power to quickly act on your spiritual life, disappointment may slowly be putting you to sleep like a comfortable, warm blanket. God is calling you to wake up. It's time to make a difference in the Kingdom of God.

This week at Zion, we hear from the energizing words of our Youth Pastor Josh Lester. As he dives into Acts 20:7-16, he tells us the story about how Eutychus falls asleep, falls three stories off of a building, and dies. While seemingly a random story from the Bible, Pastor Josh challenges us to look inward at our own spiritual awareness. Are you awake? Tune in to find out more. . .

  • Leaving Your Lesser Gods | Brandon Block
    Jul 1 2024

It's essential to ask yourself: Have you chosen to follow God no matter what? Do you completely trust in God, even when you've reached a critical point in your life where your faith is questioned? Do you trust God more than your job, your yearly vacation, your belongings, and your habits? Regardless of our circumstances, we can grow and develop a deeper connection with the Lord when we prioritize God over the lesser gods in our lives.

Just like Paul in Acts 19, when we follow God's instruction for our lives and stand against the spiritual darkness in the world, we can achieve more than we ever thought possible. This week at Zion, Pastor Brandon Block urges us to aim higher as we learn that God is calling us to fight for Him. • Acts 19 Church | Brandon Block
    Jun 12 2024

Take a deeper look at Acts 19 this week with us as Pastor Brandon uncovers the design God has for the church. This chapter is not just the passage for the week; it is about how God wants us to operate as the body of Christ. He wants us to walk into situations that seem hopeless and be able to operate in the power God has given us. He wants us to be filled with the Spirit so we can bring healing and restoration to the broken. If this is the way we are supposed to live and we haven't seen it yet, then it's time to go back to square one.

This power comes through remembering your first love. Your relationship with God was never meant to be complicated or overbearing. In Revelation 2, John writes to the church of Ephesus, saying, "Repent and do the things you did at first." Maybe it's time to look back and remember what it was like when you first fell in love with Jesus. Tune in to find out more. . .

  • Following Jesus, Not a Formula | Brandon Block
    Jun 10 2024

There are some things in life that feel impossible to deal with. Things that you feel have a foothold in your life. Things that you would say, "I'll probably have to deal with this for the rest of my life". Did you know that if you know Jesus, He can take care of that for you?

This week at Zion, Pastor Brandon Block teaches us in Acts 19 about how some Jews tried to drive out evil spirits. One particular occasion in this verse states that an evil spirit replied to a Jewish chief priest, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?”(v 14). The reality is that this Chief Priest didn't know Jesus at all, but he knew the authority that His name carried. He was following a formula, and not the the Lord over every spirit, dominion, sickness, and addiction from this world. Tune in to this episode to find out more. . .
