Few are invited. Fewer survive. Join the elite at Space Academy and fulfill your destiny today!

Separated at birth, orphaned twins Peyton and Jai Foster’s lives couldn’t be more different. Raised by a billionaire, Peyton Foster has been taught that anything other than first place is failure. With her adoptive family’s name dangled like a carrot, she’ll need to not only get accepted to Space Academy but finish at the top of her class.

Raised in a group shelter one step from the streets, Jai Foster has earned every meal he’s ever eaten. Discovering early that his penchant for technology gave him an undeniable advantage, Jai manages to earn a spot to the academy with hopes of securing a future better than as some low-level corporate cog.

When fellow cadets are callously murdered for failing training exercises, the orphaned twins discover that the corporations controlling the solar system are far more sinister than they could’ve ever imagined. When terrorist attacks leave millions dead, academy’s cadets are drafted to fight the latest corporate war.

But what happens when the twins discover that the terrorist enemy they’re fighting isn’t the real enemy? Will a pair of orphans follow the orders of an immoral corporation, or will they find that fighting against tyranny is worth everything?

Stand up for what you believe

In this novel you’ll bounce back and forth between two people with very different proficiencies and smarts for tactics and combat. The corporations are at a stale mate. Which one will make the first move?

Enjoyed two different narrators

it did take me a few chapters, but then i finally started to really enjoy it. I dig really like that they used two different voices in the narration for the two different characters.

A Rippin’ Good Yarn!

Exciting military sci-fi! Young new military cadets are thrust into a situation that tests them to the max! Unfortunately, they learn the hard way that the Corporations on which they depend for their livelihood are thoroughly corrupt and care only about their bottom line. They consider everyone expendable who doesn’t make them richer and more powerful.

This story is very well written, and although these narrators are not my favorites, they do a good job. And I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series!

Fantastic, just buy!

Loved every bit of it! Interesting take on the future of human expanse into space that totally seems possible. A good amount of drama, without the typical “complete impossible scenarios” happening every 5 seconds… The narrators were incredible, and really brought to story to life. Cannot wait for the next book!

Great story for free

I really enjoyed this story for free on audible, I wouldn’t have paid for it initially but after having read it I actually grew quite fond of it and if there is a second book (prequel or sequel) I would listen to it. I recommend if you like space stories and want a free listen on audible, honestly is pretty great. I enjoyed the start more than the middle, the end was decent also.

A pleasant surprise

I originally picked up this book to “fill the void” while I waited on the next releases of some of my favorite series. I thought I’d start this one, switch over to one of those, and maybe pick this one back up again later. Rebel’s Call turned out to be so good that I couldn’t put it down. It’s well written and much of what happens is unpredictable. The MC’s feel real with amazing talents and relatable flaws. It’s The Expanse meets Ender’s Game.
