Publisher's summary

Those who have made the decision to homeschool their children have done so out of great love for them and a desire to provide them an excellent education in the context of a warm, enriching home. Yet so many parents (mainly mothers) who have taken up this challenge find the enterprise often full of stress, worry, and anxiety. In this practical, faith-based, and inspirational book, Sarah Mackenzie addresses these questions directly, appealing to her own study of restful learning and her struggle to bring restful learning to her (six) children.

Given me strength to press on & furthered my love for Sarah Mackenzie.

This book is amazing. As a new homeschooling mom (in our 5th week of our 2st homeschool year), I have already come to feel slightly overwhelmed with all there is " to do". The fear creeps up from time to time about whether or not I'll screw up our kids. But, I know the Lord has called me to do this great work. I must continue to trust that He will see it through to completion. I must rest in that.

Thank you, Sarah for reminding me to rest- to trust that when I need Him (which is all the time), He will immediately answer my cry. I can rest assured in that.

Exactly what the Lord wanted me to hear

I just finished his audiobook in two days. I am a stressed out, perfectionist, homeschooling mama, who so much wants to enjoy my experiences teaching my children. Right now I am paralyzed by fear of failure. I am so grateful for Sarah's insights and her bravery and selflessness in sharing. Thank you for his audiobook. I will be returning to it over and over. It is in my loop. 😉

So many things stood out to me in this book. Simplicity. Trusting the Lord to make us more. Great ideas for implementation. He last principle she shared in the end of the book was the most meaningful to me, "Rest in the fact that the Lord will use our mistakes and our successes....Here I am Lord, use me." This is my goal this year. To be an instrument in his hands.

I will be sharing this with my homeschooling friends. Thank you so much!

A beautiful perspective

I love how Sarah encourages moms to teach according to their personality, passions and capacities. to think outside the box, and allow the Holly Spirit to bring inspiration. Such a perspective-correction and encouragement for tired homeschool moms who long to raise amazing kids.

I loved the advice in this book.

I have struggled to enjoy homeschooling since we started, due to many reasons including my oldest being a slow learner, and this book is full of practical tips that I know will help. I'm going to listen again, take notes, and implement!! I definitely recommend it :)

A must read for homeschool moms

This is one of a small handful of books concerning homeschool that I consider most helpful. I read or listen to the audio book over and over. It is never disappointing; it is full of helpful and inspiring gems. Sarah Mackenzie offers up such invaluable words of wisdom for those who seek to raise up their children for the glory of God and not man, using homeschool as a means to that end. Thank You Sarah!
