About this listen

Crank is a standalone romance in a new small town, blue-collar series from USA Today best-selling author Adriana Locke. Join listeners everywhere as they fall in love with the delicious Gibson boys.

This is one mistake Sienna Landry can't buy her way out of.

As Walker Gibson looks at her, then at the damage to his precious truck (that she may or may not have accidentally inflicted), she knows she's in trouble. It's not the busted headlight and dented grill that's sunk her though. It's the downright sinful man in front of her that's the problem.

The small-town mechanic is broody. Rough. Smells like engine grease and gasoline, and Sienna isn't sure why that's so sexy, but it is. It so is. She's ready to peel off her panties at the drop of his wrench.

He wants her too. She can feel it when he brushes against her. Experience it as he presses her against the wall of the shop. It's thinly veiled in his deep, brown eyes when he looks at her like she's everything he's ever wanted. So why won't he give in?

The damage to Walker's truck is the first of many mistakes between the two of them, ending with truths that rock Sienna's world. Nothing can fix her broken heart except the love of a man that won't, maybe even can't, love her back.

Loved Walker and Sienna!

Crank by Adriana Lock was a fun strangers-to-lovers romance that made my heart super happy. This is book one of The Gibson Boys series, and I enjoyed listening to this audio from start to finish. This audiobook is performed in duet narration by Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott. Wen and Kai did amazing things with Locke's words and made me feel every bit a part of grumpy Walker and sassy Sienna's love story. Plus, the chemistry between Walker and Sienna will melt your earbuds. I love their witty banter and pent-up sexual tension! I am looking forward to more from Adriana Locke!

What passion as I listen to CRANK

OH my all my feels for this book. I am a HUGE fan of this author lady and now to have Wen and Kai reas this book just proved that this book is amazing!!!

Sienna Landry is not like the rest of her family. She doesn't want the fine china, she wants to feel normal and enjoy life as much as she can. Walker Gibson is your everyday blue collar worker. He loves his life in Illinois, but he is missing something. Now take one long legged blonde and a baseball bat and you have something steamy.

Sienna is a wholehearted helper/doer. She knows she can help when others just can do it. Walker see this in her and wants more, but he has something that needs to be fixed before he can move on. He will do anything to make sure she stays in there quiet little town, but is it enough? See more on my VLOG on release day- A Day With Ethel.

Loved the dual narration!

I really enjoyed this book due to the dual narration. With the back and forth POV stories, it’s nice to hear a male actually speak the male voices and the woman speak the women’s voices.
In addition to the narration, the story was good. The angst at the end was a bit long, but as always a hea was delivered as expected.

A Story of mixed emotions

What made the experience of listening to Crank the most enjoyable?

The way in which the narrators told the story their ability to make all the different characters sound different from one another. I read the print version and couldn’t wait for the audiobook.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that it was not only The Gibson Boys story but also Sienna Landry’s story from the Landry series I like how the Author brought a character from a totally different series into a whole new series in a different town and that the Author also brought in some of Sienna’s Family members like Lincoln and her twin sister into the fold of the story and you got to listen to Lincoln talk and Wen Ross brought him to life in this story and it was a funny part so it was like you were getting to visit the Landry’s in this story. I liked the unexpected twist in this story that sneaks up on you and all the different moods that the narrators had to portray especially with Walker’s character.

What about Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross ’s performance did you like?

I liked how Wen Ross was able to portray Sienna’s brothers just as they were in the Landry series and his ability to make all of them sound different giving them individuality. There were a lot of sub characters in this story and all of the mood swings that Walker was having it was quite the experience listening to all the different characters Wen Ross brought them to life. I hope if there will be an audiobook for Adriana Locke’s next book Craft that these two narrators will be able to narrate it. Their performance was phenomenal in this story there were some parts of this story that made me cry.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and I have listened to it again at least five times it’s one of my favorites.

Any additional comments?

I liked how fast this story came to audiobook from print.

Great Read

Crank by Adriana Locke was a great read. I loved reading Sierra and Walker’s story. Sierra damages Walker’s truck which leads her to working for him in order to pay him back. I loved reading about Sienna and Walker and loved reading about the Gibson boys. I can’t wait to more in the series.

Loved it

Adriana Locke delivers as usual. I love this story a spin off of her Landry series. The Gibsons are a small town group of brothers with an amazing Nana. Loved the banter and fire between Walker and Sienna. The narrators really encapsulated these characters and brought them to life!

Crank

Very good story. I love the way these two met! This book has a little bit of humor in it that every now and then will give you a chuckle, but the majority of the book is just the romance. You get to watch these two circle each other until they finally figure it out. There is a bit of a twist towards the end and I am happy to see that is was resolved. Definitely worth the listen.
