Publisher's summary

With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl's rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn't want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet's dark, haunted eyes. She's afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.

Jet can't resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he iss tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.

Will the blaze burn into an enduring love...or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

Don't miss the latest bad boy in Jay Crownover's unforgettable New Adult series.

Jet: A Marked Men Novel

Would you consider the audio edition of Jet to be better than the print version?

I prefer the audio. It makes you feel more in tuned with who the different characters are.

Any additional comments?

This was a good book. But I preferred Rule and Nash's stories better.

Love it even more.

This book is a romantic, rocker, pierced, tattooed, hot, drama and erotic book. moved this book, it is more about opposite attract and finding your way in life.

You meet Jet and Ayden in the book Rule, she is the roommate to Shaw. Jet is the rocker at the bar all the marked men go to. If you have not read Rule, you will not feel totally lost, this book can be a stand alone, but once you get hooked on the characters you'll want to go back and read the others.

Ayden has a con-artist as a brother and a mother so flaky and lost it is not wonder she can remember she has children. So her home life is a wreck and her past is no picnic. She has done just about everything under the sun to survive and help her older brother Asa out of trouble more times than she can count. When signs of Asa follow her causing more trouble and the life she had hoped was in the past was coming back with a vengeance. Jet seems to be her only life line in a turmoil of past bad decisions coming back to destroy the life she made for herself, with friends, love and a future. But what should have been a one night fling turns into something more.

Jet has a father that blames him for everything gone wrong in his life. His pop believes that since he gave up the life of a rock star his son, Jet owes him, when his pop is nothing more than a has been. His mother takes the brunt of the abuse and one day Jet loses it and his whole world comes crashes down. He likes the life of a rock star but not to big, but loves it more of finding new underground hidden talent more. But his fathers abuse and his mother never seeing the son he is has left him with trust issues and scars. He has always had a thing for Ayden but always thought he was never good enough, but one night Jet and Ayden finally give in to the sexy temptation that sleeps across the hall from one another and their worlds collide.

These two are so opposite, Jet is a hard rocker and Ayden is a country bumpkin. They worked so good together if they could only get through lies, cons and running away. Ayden is known to be a runner but will Jet have too much on his plate to chase her?

I'm hooked

I'm hooked on this series onto the next book. This is the 3 rd book I've read because I accidentally listened to Rowdy first.
I love Jet & Ayden but the readers weren't that great in this particular book. But I definitely recommend this book if you like romance novels. All the guys in the series are so hot I'm ready to move to Denver. Lol.

Another Excellent JC Book

I love this series. I love these characters. I love these narrators. 5 stars across the board. My only complaint is that the male narrator says Asa's name incorrectly and Tanya Tucker's name incorrectly. However, he is forgiven because he is fantastic in every other way.

Split emotions

I really liked Jet and Ayden in book 1 so of course I dashed to purchase this book. The book is okay but not as good as the the first book. My biggest issue was the narration, Cal Wembly is a good narrator but not for the role of Jet. He sounds more cow-boyish than rocker and also more soft mannered than one with anger issues. Although Callie did try to pull off the KY accent it would have been better with someone who had it nailed down. In the end, the ups and downs of dealing with a bad boy are all present in this book. The fact that Ayden could match Jet on being bad was entertaining. I would still recommend the book. The series is delightful.

A delightfully yummy novel

Entertaining, full of angst and some yummy sexy times, Jet is a nice addition to the Marked Man Series. The story is told in first person dual POVs. I really liked the first book in this series, Rule and had high hopes that Jet would be just as good. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. It was good just not better than the first book in the series. The problem wasn't Jet,  I adored him. In fact, I loved everything about Jet. He was sexy, charismatic, and delicious. On the outside he is this rockstar with all the known stereotypes, but on the inside he is genuine, sweet, and overall a great person.  I loved him every bit as much as Rule... The problem was Ayden. It took me a little longer to connect with her character. In time, she won me over. The story picks up a year later after Jet so nicely turns down Ayden when she tries to pretty much offer herself to him. Ironically, they end up becoming roommates & friends! We find out there is more to Ayden. She was hiding from her past. Raised in a small town in Kentucky by a mother who had a revolving door of men coming in and out of their trailer, Ayden lived up to the trailer trash label that had been placed on their family. Most of what she did was to keep her brother out of more trouble than what he was already in. So when a high school chemistry teacher saw potential in Ayden, he helped her fill out applications and get her to Denver to college. Ayden did everything she could to make sure that she lived her new life to deserve the second chance that she got. She attends Denver University, determined to live a completely different life from the one she ran from in Kentucky. She knows she wants a stable career and safe relationship. Trying to convince herself that she’s different from the girl she was in Kentucky, hiding all of her secrets from her closest friends. Her plan never included to fall for the sexy, talented, panty-melting bad boy. Jet is the lead singer in a local metal band, runs his own studio, and is dealing with family issues. He too wasn’t expecting that one girl could change his entire view on love & relationships. Ayden and Jet have different goals for their life but cannot deny the attraction towards each other no matter how much they fight it. So, they decide to jump in to a friends with benefits type of relationship. And whoa baby is it hot! Jet would sing to her in bed while playing his guitar. **Swoon* * Jet was always forth coming about his family drama but Ayden still refuses to open up. Eventually feelings start to surface between them and run deeper than being just physical. These feelings scare Ayden and it doesn't help when her past starts to catch up with her. This causes her to make the decision to keep Jet safe. She does this by taking the cowards way out and breaks things off with him. Basically, we experience lots of up & down roller coaster moments. This book is really about the two of them learning love is worth the fight to be together rather than giving up & finding your future all alone. To be honest, I fell head over heels in love with Rule and Shaw's story, it was raw, there was passion, angst and it was even effed up a lot of the time, but I I really loved the ride. In this book, I just didn't feel the strong passion between Ayden and Jet. Plus, the sex scenes seemed way toned down from Rule, which may have contributed to the lack of passion I felt compared with the first book. On a positive note, I did enjoy listening to Jet and Ayden’s story. I was glad to see the same crew of characters playing significant roles in this book. I definitely will continue to recommend this series to other listeners.

ANOTHER GREAT ADDITION TO THIS AWESOME SERIES

Jet - he's a gorgeous womaniser with tattoos and piercings (everywhere OUTCH) but he's so misunderstood because scratch the surface and you'll find a talented songwriter/musician, he's a smart, funny guy but with bad and sad family issues. Ayden comes across as a sweet, well-balanced, country girl who has reinvented herself from a bad girl with a shady past, an even shadier brother and has put up barriers to save herself from getting hurt. But when they get together they rock.... for a while anyway.

When Jet wants, and needs, stability in their relationship Ayden's past comes back to haunt her and she panics but he too has problems with his family at the same time and makes a drastic decision. But before he can deliver the news to Ayden she makes a drastic, devastating, heartbreaking decision of her own.

There's sizzling chemistry, passion, sex, great secondary characters, secrets, family drama and the storyline flowed well with great character growth and development, a lovely romance which inevitably leads to the HEA ending we all want so much. We also catch-up with Shaw and Rule which was sweet and interesting.

Worth a credit? I really enjoy all these flawed characters that JC has created and she thankfully leaves room for growth and love within her plots to enable her characters to win our hearts. So that folks is a YES and bring on book 3.

Romance with an actual story!

So far this series always has more of a backstory and some excitement going on (not just romantically). Also, the author doesn't waste a lot of time reintroducing you to characters you already know if you are reading the series. Three in the series down and planning on reading all.
