Publisher's summary

To the unassuming observer, Ben Lockwood is your typical suburban dad.

Aside from the fact that he's only thirty-six and his daughter is a sophomore in college. He and his wife, Jessica, had their only daughter, Hailey, when they were in high school. So you can imagine the unease Ben is feeling when said daughter brings her new boyfriend home for Thanksgiving… To stay in their house for the whole weekend.

Ryan Harper, otherwise known as the boyfriend, is every dread Ben's ever had in his daughter dating come to fruition. There's nothing wrong with Ryan. He's polite, smart, and charming… He doesn't have any neck tattoos or facial piercings, and he drives a BMW. But still, he's dating Ben's daughter. That makes him a threat.

It's in Ben's best interest to keep an eye on the kid. You know, to make sure there's no funny business going on under his roof. Unfortunately for him, the tension in the house is less about Ryan being his daughter's boyfriend and more about him being a strangely intriguing human.

Soon enough, Ben can't tell if he's watching Ryan to protect his daughter's innocence or obliterate his own. It seems like the boring married guy image isn't going to hold up for long… Not after this bizarre, life-changing weekend.

What are these new, strange feelings and desires? Where did they come from? And why do they have to center around what belongs to his daughter?

Ben and Ryan's situation couldn't get much more complicated… Until Jessica steps into the mix.

An unexpected push is all it took for their lives to change forever.

MM turns to MMF in a very steamy, unexpected romance that will make you laugh, maybe cry, and definitely swoon. If you're looking for an open-minded tale of taboo and forbidden romance that ultimately works out for its characters, this book is for you!

Such authentic genuine passion

Kind of messed up how the MM started their relationship, however it just makes you feel that there was just such a powerful attraction that they pretty much lost their head. However, it doesn’t matter how many times they try to include Jess by saying oh she’s my soul mate, my love my forever. Or we just have such a connection. Even when the MM express the love for her it just seems more like…. like idk a family type love, maybe like a friends with benefits type of thing. I do like her and I’m glad she is included so that things can happen the way they happen but the all consuming passion and love I feel more between Ben and Ryan. I actually like it like that.

Nearly DNF'd because of the terrible narration

This was a cute enough story, but the narration absolutely ruined it for me. Ryan's narrator for his voice was fine, but his voice for Ben and Jess were obnoxious. Ben's narrator was atrocious. He emphasized such weird words and I hate that he gave Ryan such a feminine voice when so much of the story commented on how "manly" he was. He also gave Jess balls a couple times? I'm assuming he meant to say p*ssy? And the transphobic comments towards the end were gross. I'm disappointed and feel like it was a waste of a credit.

Looking forward to the Next Book in this series!

I Give this Book a 4/5 Star Rating.

**Audiobook Review at Bottom.
HEA(?): Yes!
Relationship Type: MMF
M/M(?): Yes!
Heat: 4.5/5
Romance: 4-4.5/5
Drama: 3.5-4ish/5
Suspense: 4/5
Pacing: the pacing overall is mid.

I love these type of books, I’m especially a fan when the female isn’t the main focus yet is a meaningful part of the relationship as well.
I will reread this book over and over, I really enjoyed it very much.

Audiobook Review
Overall: 3.5-4/5, Listing as 4.
Story: 4/5
Performance: 3.5-4/5
Narrators: Rose Dioro, Liam Dicosimo, Zachary Zaba

Truthfully it did take a bit to get used to the voices, cause they weren’t at all what I was expecting to be honest. But the longer you listen you kinda get used to it, and regardless I’m grateful for the audiobook because I was able to ‘see’ the book in more depth then I actually thought it was.
I got this book the moment it was out and it is a pretty good palate cleanser between reads that you can leave and go back to easily.

Story is amazing, narration is mediocre

I have read this book in the past twice and have been anxiously waiting for the audiobook release. I preordered it and counted down the days. On release day, I pressed play SO FAST. The instant disappointment at Ben's narration was painful. Ben is basically the most important character in this book and has A LOT of chapters. I don't know which narrator it is, but he made Ryan sound so feminine and it sounded like he was mocking the story the whole time he read. Ryan's narrator was great and we barely get anything from Jess' narrator since this story mainly surrounds the relationship between Ben and Ryan. I made it through the whole audiobook because I genuinely LOVE this book but I don't know if I'll be able to make it through this narration again. Very disappointing.

Nyla always brings the heat!

Wow, I have no idea where all the hate for Zachary Zaba as Ben is coming from in all these reviews? His chapters were hot AF! And he did a fantastic job of mimicking Liam's voice as Ryan, who, on the other hand...well, Liam's kind of a one-trick pony. He sounds exactly the same in everything I've ever heard him in, and his growly voice that he always uses for the other MC is giving "I'm batman" and always just hits my ear the wrong way...so if anything he was the weak link in this performance for me. I don't often listen to MF, so this was my first time hearing Rose and she was lovely! I'm not the biggest fan of MMF, but if Nyla writes it I'll read it and the spice never misses! I do think her writing has improved a lot since this book was released, so I still prefer her newer works, but I'm definitely glad I gave this one a listen!

Ben's voice ruined this for me

Why did they have to pick someone that made Ben sound like an arrogant snob. I absolutely loved this book. But his voice almost ruined the whole book. Not sure why his impression of Ryan made him sound like he was mimicking a woman when he's turned on too. Like really?! Still love the story though. I'll listen to Pull even if they use the same voice actor for Ben though. That's how much I love these characters.

love is love

I read Push about a year ago and fell hard for Ben, Ryan and Jess. The story, with it's angst, broken hearts, confusion, love and true family had my heart. I really enjoyed hearing the narrative and Ben is just...swoon. Nyla K is a genius and I will never stop reading and listening to her creations.
