Publisher's summary

My new boss has it all. In spades.

Gorgeous green eyes? Check. Hard-and-sexy body? Check. Intelligence? Check. Success? A big fat billionaire.... Check.

Too bad I haven't started out on the best foot. My big mouth has already turned him against me, and tempting good looks and success aside, Trent Turner is no peach either. He's stubborn and thick-headed, and son of a fruitcake, he thinks he knows everything there is to know about the hotel business.

With him running the development of the new Vanderturn New Orleans Hotel and me doing the design, our work relationship is far too intimate for two people who absolutely despise one another. But that's not all. See, he isn't just my billionaire boss from hell. He's my new neighbor, too.

Same city. Same building. Same floor.

Trent Turner is my billionaire boss next door.

Holy moly, let's hope my career - and hormones - can survive.

Contains mature themes.

Out of synch narration

The pauses between her phrases (not always at sentence brakes. Maybe the ends of the lines of print?) were too long. So I tried a slightly faster speed. Which made his narration too fast. I spent the whole book loving the characters but wishing the pacing of the narration was matched between the two speakers. Hoping the next book feels less distracting to listen to.

it's okay

the male voice was fast speed and seem young minded. the female voice was so slow and she kept stopping for long periods. I really wanted to like or love the story. but the story needed some help

Great

Great story, really enjoyed the story after I having to get over listening to billionaires sounding like surf/valley boys talking.. that was the only issue with this book.

I literally laughed out loud

I listen to audiobooks all day, every day. My family is used to my smirks etc when I have my earbuds in. My son actually said to me, “what’s so funny”. I really enjoyed this book.

Hard to finish

The male narrator’s voice was hard for me to listen to, especially when he was using his “female” voice. And the whole story was too slow and cheesy. I sped it up to get through.

Good book, bad combo of narrators

The book is like any other of the authors. Amusing, cute, sassy, nothing unexpected, a perfectly fine book. The narrators though are distracting. I've heard them both before and with other counterparts they are tolerable but together, wow holy distraction and annoyance. She super slow, unnatural in the way she speaks. She stops midway through the sentence to take a too long pause before continuing. He reads so fast it's a wonder he doesn't pass out from lack of oxygen. Put them together and it's a little like whiplash. You just get use to the slow drawn out way she speaks like she took a sedative before he jumps in and talks so fast you can't keep up like he just downed 4 espressos. Toward the end of the book you finally get use to it but by then it's so distracting you aren't as invested as you should be. So... it was just ok.
