Honest & Heartbreaking GREAT BOOK

I believe Ms. Robyn timed the release of her story appropriately. She would have been well within her rights to take her life story with Whitney Houston to her grave. I admire her strength and courage for being so candid. I believe her she loved and cared for Whitney Houston with all her heart. I wish I had a friend like that!

A Song For You… Wow!

What can’t I say about this book!?! Whitney Houston’s longtime friend, confidante, sister, and once lover, Robyn Crawford, revealed so much about her relationship with the late, great, talent we all came to know, love and even coin as The Voice. Albeit I initially questioned why on earth would Robyn write such a book revealing so much about her friend Whitney, I understand now that Robyn was merely telling about her life though I still think the world does not deserve to know about Whitney’s personal life; her relationships with others. That part could have been left out out of respect, but I get it. I really get it. Robyn was indeed such a loyal friend and expressed such an unwavering, undying love for Whitney. Whew! I have such a profound respect for Robyn that I never thought possible before. I literally cried at various parts of the book as I imagined the complexity and layers that plague all relationship dynamics. Whitney’s nor Robyn’s lives were no different. I hope to meet Robyn one day… to express my deepest sympathy, gratitude, love, and admiration for her. She really was as Nippy put it, “her n-word”. Solid, levelheaded, poised, calm, and always looking out for Whitney’s best interests. That’s what real friend do. Thank you, Ms. Robyn Crawford… for sharing so much of your life with Whitney with us.

This was the closest thing to an autobiography/biography of Whitney Houston that we will ever get. It was Raw, honest and heartbreaking.

Excellent book!

Robyn honors Whitney better than anyone else did. She was a big part of Whitney’s life and knew all of her. Who better than Robyn to tell this story. This is definitely not a tell all book. This is a story of a true loving friendship. 🙏♥️

A Beautiful Story of Friendship and Loyalty

I initially thought why share the story now. But because I was such a big Whitney fan, I had to read the book. What a beautiful story of friendship and loyalty. Thank you Robyn for telling your story and sharing your truth.

I loved the relationship they shared. From trying to protect her from the people who didn't have her best interest at heart. So glad she found happiness!

I enjoyed this so much. As a Jersey girl. I can fully relate to every place she talks about and as a Whitney Houston fan its a in depth believable story! Kudos Robyn..

Couldn’t stop listening

For those who loved and admired Whitney, it’s heartwarming to hear a story told from someone who both knew her and loved her dearly.

Often times I wonder how celebrities have such an enormous gift and squander it away on drugs and self sabotage. It’s a story often left untold, but witnessed before our eyes. We ask, where was her mother? Why didn’t anyone get her help? Who and where were her real friends? Why didn’t they stop this train wreck?! Well, as Robyn tells it, how can you stop the train when the conductor and everyone on it ignores the warnings and pushes you away?

Robyn did a tremendous job capturing those intimate moments from their innocent youth up to the utter destruction. I couldn’t resist pausing the story and searching for the clips she recalled on YouTube of Whitney’s monumental moments that rose her to fame. There were just so many! I also couldn’t resist wondering how she recounted those things from her 20 year old memory and I can hardly remember what I did last month lol.

I wished she would have spoken on her views of the “Being Bobby Brown” Show. THAT is when the rose colored glasses came off for us all. It’s was awfully entertaining to us, but I know it was embarrassing to those who helped raise her to stardom, those who worked hard to pour into her, and polish her like a diamond... only to see her... nevermind, I digress.

Thank you Robyn for sharing this story of you and your dear friend. Sometimes you just have to let go and let God. She was a gift to us all. 5 stars!

They don’t always have happy endings for everyone, but this story was about a True deep love. Remarkable, uncensored, and heartbreaking.
