not my favorite in series

i liked the other books better. i did like the main characters, but the story took so long to get into and the "undercover" part felt weak. i feel like they could have done more espionage together but they really didn't do much of anything.

Definitely worth a credit!

This is a dark, age-gap, mafia romance that can be read as a standalone, but I would start from book one as the stories interconnect
You could feel the chemistry between these two. Their journey was excruciatingly heart breaking for both of them, but it lead them to each other, and they were destined to be together. The story contained twists, suspense, action, angst, revenge, redemption, and lots of violence. Excellent IMO!

Loved this book

Eva winners brought us another dark, intense, twisted mafia romance. Aurora and Alexeis phenomenal story was brought to life by Maeve York and Tor Thom. This is by far my favorite book in the series

Wonderful love story

One of my favorites in the series. Loved each character especially Alexi. There were sad parts that made me tear up but overall a great story.

Impressively Superb Story, Characters & Listen🎧

This is another amazing novel set in Eva Winners’ equally amazing “Belle & Mobsters” series and I have every book in the series, I would like to the series keeps getting better and better but it would not be fair to the earlier books which deserve just as much praise. I highly recommend enjoying the books in order listed, you get the most of the world building and the overall series arc that way, that said, you could probably get away with enjoying this one on its own, just know that characters from earlier books make appearances and knowing their backstories is not only beneficial but adds more depth. I have been looking forward to Alexei’s story and wow, what a story it is, it was gut-wrenching to hear what he went thru, from his childhood until he could get free from the abuser who held him captive, Ivan Petrov. He was never really free of Ivan, but he teamed up with others who were on the same mission to take down the traffickers and abusers. Ivan has eluded them and the FBI, but he has a plan which includes the FBI, one agent in particular, Aurora Ashford, who may not remember him and when she does, she will definitely hate him. Aurora joined the FBI and has worked in profiling, but she finally gets to work out in the field, on a case that is close to her heart, to track down the depraved man who has been abducting children, and the one responsible for taking her brother when she was a young girl, a memory that haunts her. It did not thrill her to be assigned to work alongside a civilian, not any civilian but a connected one, but her need to capture Ivan is more important. Her undercover assignment starts with a visit to an underground club, and a steamy encounter with Alexei, who is running the show and about to get them into the lion’s den. I loved how everything played out in this book. The writing, the plotting and the world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. These two characters are broken in their own ways and deal with demons from their past, though Alexei’s scars are inside and out. There is never a dull moment in this book and once you start the book, it is hard to put down because you need to know what happens next. This enthralling story has the perfect balance of drama, angst, action, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Eva Winners, thank you for another amazing and mind-blowing story and emotional rollercoaster ride. 

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Maeve York and Tor Thom did an amazing job bringing these characters and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that fit that character’s persona and were believable in every role they played, accents and all. Their voices and performances complimented each other’s, and they set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance, and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen.

While I liked the story overall, I found the circumstances a bit implausible considering the FC is an FBI agent.

I think this is so far the best in the series, all those honest emotions, the true feelings of the characters.

I cannot wait till the remaining books in this series are published, where I can listen to them on my drives. This book was amazing.

Great great. There are possible triggers so be cautious. I loved it. It is worth the credit.

Alexei

Alexi is the fourth book in the Belles & Mobster series. This book is about Alexi and Aurora and is told from both of their points of view. I really enjoyed seeing Alexi in the past books, but I really loved getting to know him in his own book.

Aurora is part of the FBI, and Alexi is on the opposite side being in the Mafia. When Aurora is forced to work with Alexi things are about to heat up!

I loved the banter between Alexi and Aurora. There were quite a few things that I wasn't expecting, and was pleasantly surprised.

Can Alexi and Aurora work together? When their working together is over, will they still have feelings for each other? Or will their feelings keep developing stronger? Will they get their happy ending?

I really enjoyed this book, and can't wait to see where this series leads us next. I also really liked the narrators that were used for this audiobook. They really brought the story to life.
