almost perfect monster romance

a few story quirks, probably a relic of it being such a short book, but it's a perfect monster romance, finally. everything else is shifter nonsense, or the aliens are just oddly colored humans. this is a straight up monster, snout, scales, claws and more. thank you.

Super fluffy and sweet, no angst. There’s even a sweet baby at the end that we get to meet.

um so a note for the writer and editor phylum is an actual word in English. so you can say that maybe The word has a different meaning in their language, however it is a real word with a definition in English.

Such a cute Omega-verse Story

I really enjoyed this book ! What begins as a peace mission quickly turns into a scramble for survival when Levi and his crew find themselves stranded on a bizarre floral planet teeming with life—and some rather hunky, alien life at that.

The aliens they encounter are as mesmerizing as the planet itself. Tall, teal-skinned, and equipped with more “feelers” than you can count, these beings are far from ordinary. Levi’s initial wariness slowly fades as he finds himself drawn to Zat’tor, a smoldering alien who shows a surprising interest in him. Levi has never experienced attention like this before, especially from someone who makes his heart race in ways no human man ever has.
As their relationship blossoms, Levi is faced with a shocking revelation that makes him question everything he thought he knew about his future. The story dives into themes of love, trust, and the possibility of a new life far from home. The question isn’t just whether Levi can return to Earth, but whether he even wants to anymore.

Felix Black does an incredible job bringing the characters and their world to life. His voice work adds depth to the story, capturing the emotions and personalities of the characters, especially the chemistry between Levi and Zat’tor.

Pretty Silly for SciFi

So I have to admit to a major bias when it comes to space travel and alien species and human - alien interactions. I love that theme! I'm a science fiction fan through and through. This book has a friendly take on alien-human interactions when a human piloted space craft crash lands on a planet with giant vegetarian sexually appealing aliens. Levi, the captain of the doomed space craft, is about as believable as, well, he's just not! He lacks the emotional discipline that any human would have to have in order to go further in rank than custodial staff. There's no actual science context or language about or on the space traveling vessel. There is a cute plant biology lingo employed to name the alien species, their abilities, and the food they grow on their planet. It's a little steamy.... but again I just slogged through all of it with a sad face because the book is not sci fi really, just fluffy stuff.
