Better than the first imo
Good story, a little more relatable than the first book for me. I liked the twins, they are both alpha dons and protective. Although not as tough as some I’ve read, this is a new generation. I do recommend.

Completely engrossing listen!!
Wow!!! Cruel King of New York is an Audiobook by Siobhan Davis. It is the conclusion of the Accardi Twins Duet! This is the story of Caleb and Elisa. What a dark, beautiful, fitting ending to this wildly engrossing duet!!! Caleb is sooooo much more than I ever gave him credit for!!! Elisa is tougher than I expected!!!
The drama! The intrigue! The danger! The unexpected miscommunications that will drive you crazy waiting for the ultimate ending you never expected!!! Excellent read!!!
This Audiobook was narrated by Noel Harrison, Sarah Puckett, and Ramona Master…and they do an incredible job with this fantastic story!! They brought the story to life and made the characters believable. They brought out the appropriate emotions, feelings, and intensity. Wonderful job!!

A twisted brilliant conclusion with some terrific writing.
The characters were amazing and I'm so glad I read these books.
It was hooking and entertaining.

SORRY, NOT FOR ME
As with the first book, imo, Noel Harrison was the wrong choice of narrator as I think he’d be best in anything other than romance. However, I thought book 1 had a very good Mafia-heavy story along with the romance so I decided to soldier on to book 2.. but I wished I hadn’t bothered. This seemed the total opposite of the first one with barely any Mafia mayhem. Instead it was a weak College Student Virgin trying to get over the love of her young life.. her manwhore friend Don Caleb who’s been rejecting her for years. Then suddenly he’s besotted and in love - trying everything he can to prove his love.. but Elisa’s trying to move on. Lots of “but I love her” and “but I love him” ensue.. followed by reams of “I love yous” and one or maybe two sex scenes. A disappointing listen, even if Elisa does eventually have a crucial moment of courage, it was all too little too late for me.
Worth a credit? Barely got through it, thought about stopping many times and ended up speeding it up.. so, for me, it’s a no.. however, you may love it.

Good for what it was
"Cruel Kind of New York" is the 2nd part in the Accardi Twins duet so it continues right after the first. It's basically a friends-to-lovers romance surrounded by Mafioso goings-on. The performance was good, Sarah is always pleasant to listen to and Ramona was screetchingly awesome when needed. Although Noel was good and is clearly a talented voice performer, his voice did not fit either Joshua or Caleb to me so I couldn't quite enmesh myself completely into either books.
3 starz - worthy of repeat listens as a whole - but I probably won't
