Great listen

I enjoyed Pulse. It was lighthearted, funny and steamy. I loved the way the suspense was woven into the story. I liked the main characters and enjoyed the back and forth between them. I think the narrators did a good job bringing this story and characters to life despite me not being overly fond of the male narrator's voice. Pulse was an enjoyable read and a good start to a new series, one that I'm looking forward to reading more of.

Loved it!

Read this book when it was released and loved Troy’s long awaited story. Adriana Locke brought the heart, heat and banter. The narrators really brought this romantic suspense to life.

Very enjoyable

Nothing better than a connection that has been happening for a while finally coming to the forefront. Dahlia and Troy have skirted around their spark but it is not until her life is in danger that the two finally act on it. Filled with high emotions, steamy scenes and just the perfect amount of angst this was a great addition to a series that will always be a favorite. CJ Bloom and Connor Brown were perfectly matched for this narration. A very enjoyable audiobook.

Troy & Dahlia

This was a really fast listen but very enjoyable. Troy and Dahlia had such a fun working relationship. They were friendly with some enemy banter occasionally and a side of chemistry. There wasn’t a chance for anything though because it was forbidden.

When Dahlia is being threatened and they aren’t sure who is behind the stalking, protective Troy steps in as her bodyguard. The forced proximity between them sparks an undeniable attraction that simmers with every passing chapter. As the threats escalate, so does the sizzling chemistry between Troy & Dahlia, creating a perfect storm of passion and suspense. The way that Dahlia brought out a different side of Troy was really sweet.

Connor Brown is a newish narrator for me, but he quickly won me over as the protective bodyguard. CJ Bloom was a great Dahlia. I enjoyed their voices together and how easy it was to listen.

Great start to series!

Pulse is a sweet and suspenseful office romance that I enjoyed. The chemistry between Dahlia and Troy was undeniable between them and I loved the way they opened up to each other about their past. It was hard not to swoon over Troy’s grumpy and protective persona and I loved the way Dahlia challenged him and the banter between them was top notch! A great start to this news series from Adriana.

CJ Bloom and Connor Brown narrated this book in dual narration. CJ did amazing at bringing Dahlia’s sunshine personality to life. Connor is new to me and I didn’t really connect with his performance for Troy, I wasn’t in love with it and also didn’t dislike it. Overall I enjoyed the audiobook.

This is a grumpy bodyguard / sunshine assistant romance. Troy and Dahlia are cute together this was a sweet, fun read. CJ Bloom and Connor Brown did amazing in the audio.

I always enjoy Adriana's books, and this one was no different. I enjoyed the fact that even though Troy was introduced in a previous book, you don't need to read it to understand this one, although we get a few cameos from characters in previous books.

Troy & Dahlia both have feelings for each, but since they worked together, neither one of them ever crossed that line. When Dahlia ends up having some trouble, Troy is there. With forced proximity, they finally let down their guards.

Pulse is a book in the Landry Security series. It is Troy Castelli's story. If you've read any of the Landry or Brewer series you've been introduced to Troy as he has provided security detail to both families. But i digress because this is all about Troy and is it delicious.

We knew he would be an alpha male, come on he is a protector that was a given. He is sexy, another given but here he is vulnerable with Dahlia.

Dahlia is Troy's assistant and it seems she has a stalker and it is now Troy's responsibility to protect her.

You're in for a wild ride. Buckle in and expect a grumpy, bumpy ride but well worth the listen.

Narrators CJ Bloom and Connor Brown do a good job of keeping you engaged.

intriguing

this story had kind of a suspense to it because you're wondering of what was going to happen. I don't know if I was not in the right mood today because it didn't hit quite right with me for whatever reason there were parts that had me quite interested in what the outcome was going to be but there was others that moved a little on the slow side. the narrators the male narrator he was new to me and it took me a little bit to get into him for some reason now the female narrator that's a different story she definitely blew it out of the water and did a fantastic job. honestly I'm not trying to make this a negative review the story was a good story you got to see old characters that were in her old books I just don't think I was in the right frame of mine to be listening to this today and I probably should have stopped and come back.

We get to learn more about Troy!

Dahlia and Troy both work at Landry Security. He's the badass bodyguard and she's his assistant. They bicker and banter all the time (think Penelope and Morgan from Criminal Minds), but we can tell there is a strong attraction there. One of which Troy is very conflicted about, especially because they work like a well-oiled machine. 

When Dahlia receives a death threat, Troy goes into overprotective mode. They find themselves hiding out and a wonderful location with the quintessential "one bed" situation. There is so much a man can take, more so when that Dahlia throws caution to the wind and tells him exactly how she feels. 

A fast paced, quick story that brings Troy to the spotlight (if you have been reading Adriana's books, you certainly heard about him). It's full of banter, it's hotter than the sun and you'll enjoy seeing the tough-as-nails bodyguard show his soft side. Dahlia is a fun character who provides really fun lines.

Narrated dual style by C.J. Bloom and Connor Brown. Connor is a new narrator to me and I had a little bit of a hard time with his style of narration. C.J. shines as she always does, especially when you give her a feisty heroine. 

You'll get a treat in many cameos and mentions from characters from other books. You will also get your heart broken by Troy's traumatic background.
