mediocre

this was not my favorite story. at first it reminded me a lot of the movie event horizon which was cool even though it seemed rather similar (space ship disappeared and came back haunted) but then as you begin to find out what's really happening I feel like the story fell flat. narration is also only ok IMO. to each there own but these were my thoughts.

Captivating

It took me a second to adjust to how it switches from past to present but it’s a great story. Not heavy Sci-fi realism but enough to appeal to any sci-fi fan

I tried but just couldn't finish it

The narrator wasn't bad other than the screaming but the story was all over the place.

Great story in the Event Horizon genre

Really loved the story. It's similar to Event Horizon, but definitely has its own original twists and turns. I was skeptical at first because I loved Event Horizon and it set a high standard, but this is its own chilling and exciting story. Definitely recommend to fans of Event Horizon.

If I had to make one critical observation, it would be narration. Good overall, but there were 2 things that were kinda annoying and distracting. When she tried to do some of the male voices it was hard to get through. I found myself hoping that dude would leave the scene so she'd stop trying to do his voice. The other was when she was trying to do hysteria or high-adrenaline parts. I would turn down the volume so it wasn't as frustrating.

Great story and definitely worth a listen!

Great space horror

If you enjoyed Event Horizon or Ghost Ship this is right up your alley. Very good.

I really enjoyed this book! I enjoyed the voice actors performance. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes sci fi horror.

I can't believe it's not Dead Space!

Absolutely amazing work! Couldn't put it down from start to finish. 10/10 highly recommend

Total thrill ride

This is a great thrill ride.....and this newer narrator for it does an excellent job putting you there. Plot is good, but could have been even better. However, looking at the book as is, I have to say it had great imaginary detail, great gruesome parts, and lots of thrill! Kept me on edge!

That twist tho!

From the get this was giving me The Happening and Ghost Ship movie vibes. I was hooked from the beginning and finished in 3 days. Definitely need a physical copy for my bookshelf!

Started out really well

The beginning half of the story was great. Loved the setup, the mystery, and parallels to another spaceship horror story I love. However, the reveal was so anticlimactic and lackluster. Liken it to a horror movie where you find out none of the ghosts were real and the main character was just crazy the whole time. Felt cheap.

I didn't mind the characters, but the main character made me want to open an airlock and fall into the void of space. The narrator didn't make the character's constant whining and lack of composure any more palatable. It literally sounded like she was on the verge of tears for the entirety of the latter half of the book. I had a hard time finishing, but the first part of the book was engaging. The author's writing is very well polished, but the story couldn't carry the weight.
