Good Guard Book

Very good book detailing the Catachans. Excellent storytelling, characters were memorable and well fleshed out

On the edge of my seat

What a fantastic classic action style book in the 40 K universe. Every moment of the book has me guessing on what’s gonna happen next in this action-packed story with the Catachans and other imperial forces. The perfect grimdark look on humanity’s view and a better understanding of the Catachans. An absolute 12/10 and I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a highly emotional and gripping adventure.

Fun times on the death world.

Good voice acting, solid story, favorite part was when the big beefy lady ripped a 'nid in half.

Victory Against Tyranids?

A story where a team of Catachans must work with a Cadian, a Martian Magos and a Genestealer Cult Member in order to save (?) the dying world they are on. They must March for days to reach their goal, through a world in the final stages of a Tyranid Invasion. Can they do it? Will they save the world? Will we hear Catachan Poetry?

Loved it!

very easy for immerse yourself into this book. I tend to lean towards Astartes novels, this being my first novel about normal soldiers. I define recommend this audio book.

A really good book with a lot of information on how the Tyranid swarm works.

Great story and fantastic narration of it

The author wrote an amazing and compelling narrative with extremely realistic character interactions and reaction to what one could one see as the horrors of war. I can not recommend this book enough. the characters were rich and well flushed out with little to no exposition. As a big fan of the Alien series these troopers couldn't have made me feel better listening to their story like the first time I saw the movie Aliens.

Badass women

Now I know what people are going to moan about “90% of the cast are women! However, if you changed the word ‘she’ to ‘he’ you would not tell the difference.
Well rounded characters, compelling storyline and the narrator knocks it well out of the park!
Worth a read if you don’t have a problem with strong when characters.

A Refreshing Must Read

Victoria Hayward masterfully delivers an action packed, compelling plot, driven by some outstanding characters. Not only are the Catachans given some much needed spotlight (and depth), but the reader is also treated to the delightful nightmares following a Tyranid invasion. It's Jumanji meets Aliens, with exceptionally well written characters. It's enjoyable for any reader, but especially fun if you like Tyranids, Genestealers or the Guard 😈
