Terrence Murphy intends to meet those responsibilities, to unearth those secrets, and he doesn't much care what the Five Hundred want. He intends to put a stop to the killing.

Another great series
Typical Weber series, grab you from the beginning and just keep ramping up the story line until you can’t put it down. I completed this first book in-less than two days. Absolutely love it.

Slow start but fun
A nice military sci-fi that starts a little slow (introducing so many characters a bit too fast) but then evens out and has a fun story. Looking forward to the next one!

A great new series that is well built and done

Top Notch
Starts slow. Audible book is confusing at first trying to figure out when scenes are being jumbled together without clear indication of changes. Almost gave up. Then it settled into an outstanding book. Definitely looking forward to the next book.

Should be a good series
Reminds me of the honor Harrington, series, but starting a different place. Looking forward to this being a great series.

Excellent character development and descriptions.
The author creates an inspiring story that makes you feel for the "fringe". The author also creates well rounded characters that you may expect in a series like this, not some wacko, crazy character but relatable and likeable characters. I also applaud the author in his avoidance of sexual content or a ridiculous amounts of foul language. I would say its PG-13 which is just fine. Too many authors are substituting good writing with curse words and bedroom action.
