Glad I purchased this one!

I loved how easy it was to feel connected to the characters. Definitely some twists throughout that kept me guessing where it would lead next. The ending was surprising, will definitely be following to see what the author released next.

This book is wild

I feel like I just stepped a wild rollercoaster ride with so many twists and turns it left my head spinning.

Sarah Baker a 28 year old teacher seems to have the perfect life when she suddenly disappears. However, as we unravel the events of her disappearance we find that everything is not as it seems.

Between the intricate story telling and the fantastic narration I was riveted by this story. I will 💯 be recommending this book.

Decent book, kind of long and predictable

This was a decent book, but I think it would have been just as good if it was half the length. There is a lot of detail, but I personally found that some parts were weighed down with detail and my mind would wander and I would stop paying attention to the book, so I'd have to go back and re-listen to some chapters. The story is good although a bit predictable; I knew what roles some of the characters were going to end up playing long before the end of the book. All in all a decent listen; I wish I had more positive things to say about it. Oh-I did like the narrator's voice, it made for easy listening.

Several jaw-dropping moments. It is a well written story with twists and a lovely epilogue.

Not Your Standard Thriller!

Well, I don’t have anything to add other than what the other reviewers have stated, but this is a wild captivating ride! There are definitely plot twists and turns, and the ending is not anticipated! Excellently written and the narrator Angelina was spot on and perfect for the different characters! It does jump around from the present to different times in the past, but it’s necessary to see the entire story and it all comes together eventually. Highly recommend.

Fantastic twisty plot, captivating narration!

I purchased the audiobook on audible and it is seriously one of the best audiobooks I've listened to!

This book is a suspense thriller about a teacher named Sarah Baker who goes missing, a teenage girl who's found murdered, and the small-town sheriff trying to solve both mysteries before his time runs out.

This author fit so many plot twists into one book! Every time I thought I might have everything figured out, another twist would happen and show me how wrong I was. I was a huge fan of the show Longmire, and Sheriff Mills and deputy Holloway reminded me of Longmire and Moretti in that show.

During the investigations, Sheriff Mills has a heart attack which leaves him sidelined for longer than he'd like, and with a grim prognosis for the time he has left. The timeline of the story jumps back and forth between before and after Sarah went missing, and we get to see how miserable Sarah's life was leading up to her disappearance. Her marriage was on the verge of ending, her husband was having an affair, but she couldn't afford to divorce him and live on just her teacher's salary.

The narrator of this book did an AMAZING job! Her voice held so much sorrow during the narrative parts of the story that it was simply captivating from beginning to end. Her voice for Sheriff Mills was this deep, gravelly growl that perfectly suited his character. She was without a doubt the best choice for this book.

I recommend this audiobook to anyone who likes twisty mystery suspense thrillers!

Just okay.

This story was just okay for me. The beginning was a bit confusing with the jumping around. I didn’t hate it but it wasn’t like hanging on the edge of my seat good.
