While a blessedly lucky few can afford to pound back slice after slice of pizza without noticeably gaining weight, the rest of us who give the slightest damn in the world about our weight have to be careful about what we put in our bodies. For the woefully unlucky few, even staring sidelong at a bagel can cause them to gain 10 pounds immediately. We have to count calories, look at packaging labels, try diet after fad diet that doesn't move the needle on the scale.

Losing fat is tough. The biggest issue us women face is a complete lack of information. I mean, look at how it is marketed to us in the first place. We’re told to lose "weight" all the time. Losing weight and losing fat are two completely different things. You could lose weight and still be the unhealthiest person in the world. If you have type 2 diabetes , prediabetes, or are worried that you may get type 2 diabetes, this audiobook may help you. It is my account of how I have successfully managed my type 2 diabetes for more than 13 years with minimal medicines, eating right, and strategic exercise.
I was diagnosed with dangerously high sugar levels in 2008. My diabetes specialist agreed to let me try to manage my type 2 diabetes with entry-level medication (meant for low levels of diabetes), supplemented by changes in my diet and exercise. At that time, there was no professional to guide me on these changes. So, I figured it on my own.
What I eat does not include anything unusual or exotic. Of course, there are restrictions but nothing that prevents me from leading my normal life. I exercise at home without any expensive or unusual equipment. Overall, I am thriving, not just surviving!
The audiobook does not have any medical jargon or advice. It's just a patient's account in simple language.
