Dynamite caricatures

The narrator delivered like always. The storyline was well developed. Character growth was even crossboard a really good read.

better than expected

The complaints about the stat narration is not valid in my opinion. I listen to alot of books by narrator so his voice change is a good thing. Use the credit it's a good buy.

so far a good book

the start was frustrating, they spent the first part of the book trying to figure out how to get the unskilled character into combat...... crossbows that's what they're for and they have one already and just never bring it up they just jigsaw him into mage/rogue

Annoying MC but still good

Very well put together story and interesting world building. Only issue is the whiny main character. He'll constantly whine about not having any attack spells but when ever he gets the chance to learn in he ignores it or get this calls it lame. Bro could have gotten a long range spell called Ice Bolt or another called Ice Blade but he doesn't know how to use a sword. So which does he choose? The blade! Why? Because "Ice bolt is kinda lame" wtf does that even mean!? And then two characters later he whines "I wish I had a long range spell". He was stressing me out no joke

Worth the credit!

I was pleasantly surprised with this book. Hope the next is just as good as good or even better.

great introduction to this (new adult?) series. really enjoyed it and looking forward to book 2!

Please Please Remove the emphasis on skill names

Overall decent book, the emphasis for every skill name or class title got old really quickly. Hoping the next resolves this issue

Annoying Voice for classes and skills

It’s a great story but how the narrator says the classes and skill in a weird voice even when the characters are saying them really detracts from the enjoyment of the story. I hope they change this in subsequent books in the series.

annoying skill/title notifications

I really enjoyed the story, though having to listen to skills and titles like [hero] said with an annoying voiceover line repeatedly really grates on your ears and makes you want to stop the story entirely.
