There are millions of people suffering from insulin resistance. Insulin is a hormone which is manufactured by the beta cells of the pancreas. These cells are scattered all over the pancreas in small clusters referred to as the islets of Langerhans. The insulin produced is launched into the blood stream and travels throughout the body.
