Good information about a trending practice

I enjoyed this informative audiobook and appreciate the information provided. I especially like the hybrid alternatives to a strict alternating full-day fasting regimen. I had an eating disorder when I was in college, and although I mostly got over it, I dislike feeling like my eating is restricted. (My mind freaks out if it thinks I can't eat, and makes me think I'm starving.) With a hybrid plan, I have a much better chance of success. I don't need to lose weight, but I am interested in the other health benefits that may result from intermittent fasting.


The narration was good, properly paced, and smooth.

A solid read with helpful information

This book covers the ins and outs of fasting, with numerous insights into how to approach this new trend in different ways. At times, I felt like the author was repeating herself, or even at times contradicting herself, but overall, I found it helpful and informative. Lots of to chew on here.
I especially enjoyed the narrator's voice on this audiobook - she kept my interest even when delivering dry facts. She had a warmth and lilt to her voice that made it very easy to listen to the entire book in one sitting. I felt like I was listening to a dear friend sharing what she'd learned about staying healthy.
