A disordered brain function can be the result of an unhealthy gut. The latter is caused by chemical imbalances triggered by an unhealthy diet. Chemical imbalances can disrupt how your digestive system works in absorbing the nutrients needed to boost your immunity and your brain. When this continues, the brain-gut connection will become toxic, resulting in a weak immune system and poor mental health. So, to help your kid overcome emotional and behavioral problems, you need to be mindful of their diet.

Historia
Autism therapy typically focuses on ridding individuals of “autistic” symptoms such as difficulties interacting socially, problems in communicating, sensory challenges, and repetitive behavior patterns. Now Dr. Barry M. Prizant offers a new and compelling paradigm: The most successful approaches to autism don’t aim at fixing a person by eliminating symptoms, but rather seeking to understand the individual’s experience and what underlies the behavior. Rather than curb these behaviors, it’s better to enhance abilities, build on strengths, and offer supports.

So much wonderful information
I have an highly functional autistic grandson and this book taught me so much about him and why he behaves the way he does. He does not like crowds, loud music and new places. I now understand. I love the teaching methods she talks about to help them feel more comfortable in society. This is a must read for parents, teachers and anyone who works with children on the autism spectrum. I will listen to it many times!

A lot of valuable information!
If you are a parent and have an autistic child or a friend or family member you need to buy this audiobook. There’s so much valuable content that you’re going to learn. For example, I never knew that autistic teens and children are very sensitive to odors and different kinds of strong smells also I didn’t know the importance creating consistent routines.

GREAT contribution!
This book really gives hope (and healing) to parents and families with autistic kids. The teen years are tough enough, and doubly so for this population. Author clearly know the needs because the book starts with personal car! I especially liked the chapters on memory skills and occupational skills. Thanks!

Vital Skills Training
The author shares how the behavior of Darwin and many other influential scientists may indicate that they may have had autism. Raising a child with disabilities is a burden for any parent. ASD is a severe impairment but varies in its severity. Having ASD will affect every aspect of your child’s life. But this does not mean they are incapable of learning or performing specific tasks. Parents or caregivers must recognize that the child will grow up and needs to develop essential life skills to live and thrive on their own one day.
This audiobook identifies nine critical survival skills that need to be taught and mastered by the child. This book is a guide to help you prepare your child to reach independence. You are not alone and are not the first parent to get help and training to provide personal care to help your child become independent. I encourage you to listen as the information reveals various tools and techniques. The goal is to train them to be capable of doing things independently. People with autism can be high functioning and have only mild challenges, or they can have more severe symptoms, like impaired spoken language, that interfere with everyday life. No two people with ASD will have the same symptoms manifested in the same way. The purchase of this audiobook will reduce the caregiver’s burnout and improve the independence of the child with ASD. This book is recommended for educators, caregivers, and parents.

If You Want to Understand Autism Listen to This
I found this insightful look at the opinions of diverse autistic people fascinating and enlightening as a parent and autism advocate. These distinct viewpoints are offered along with helpful advice and recommendations for applying critical life skills. The tactics described here will provide your loved one all the necessary tools to successfully and confidently navigate life. Since there are so many great, intelligent people with autism who have so much to offer, I particularly liked the section about pursuing interests.
