Awesome Plot

I loved this book, great twists, well developed characters. Unpredictable plot and nice wrap up of all the characters. Starting my 3rd book by L. K. Slater

Solid

This wasn’t necessarily at the top of my list, but I will listen to anything by KL Slater. It was decent entertainment as always, and the narrator was great.

The lisp was a nightmare

Ok. How do you read books professionally with an intermittent lisp?? I forced myself to get past that issue because the story was at least interesting. Until the end. The wrap up was just so boring I find myself not really caring at all about who did what and why.

The narrator 🥴

Overall, decent story, and I couldn’t stop listening. A bit far fetched, but still quite enjoyable. Kept me guessing and wanting more.
The narrator…..she has this intermittent lisp that I found very obnoxious and distracting. Mostly, when a word ended in the letter “S”, she would pronounce it as a soft “th”. I know a person can’t help their speech impediment or whatever, but when your job is reading aloud, I think it should be considered.

I listened to this book without reading the reviews. As soon as I heard the narrator, I had to come look and see if it was noted. Lesson learned, I see several comments. I have no idea who let this person record audio books with this lisp. Once you hear it, it’s all you can hear.
