Great book

I truly enjoyed listening to this series. My only critique is the Author's notes and the summaries between books. I skipped most, but at first they act as spoilers. Skip them all, then this works great.

Hard to get through

I wanted to like it. I really did. I am so glad I only paid one credit for this instead of doing it one book at a time. The narrator puts emphasis on words at weird times. Like " Diana parked the car in the rear OF the store. " Authors notes at the end of every installment, I had to fast forward through. Repetitive and annoying. This story is for children because they are the only ones who would believe Rick and Diana separately, got through the End of the world as we know it, pretty much intact. Diana plus two adults.(three after they save Tina) and three kids, two of which were useless in a fight, manage to overcome dozens of bad guys, coming out with few injuries and no deaths. Rick, along with a few companions, makes it from LA to Washington DC where they save the world. He manages to beat, a gang with humvees, a biker gang, 2 Russian Spetsnaz guys and saves the world with minutes to spare. I rarely leave reviews like this but just can't let people waste their credits on this set.

Good for the price value, but buyer beware.

The whole series hints at prepper lit and espionage lore mixed with military quirks, but ends up more like a light Y.A. tale instead. It’s entertaining enough to keep you hooked, but it’s not heavy on facts or common sense, relying too much on Americana wishful thinking. Overall it’s alright, yet the ending chapter is abrupt and feels rushed to tie loose ends, but acceptable since it fits the rest of the story. Get it, if only for the price value.

Great Story

Story was very good and that is what kept me listening, but the narrator was hard to listen to.

Great and very possible story

This was a great story. This is something that could very well happen with the amount of real zero day viruses out there and the government trying to capitalize on all of them. Would have liked to have the astronauts be tied into the story a bit more but it was great to have them in it and show a different side of the apocalypse that is often overlooked.

Overall is was a good book and I couldn’t put it down.

Great listen.

The narration is well done as characters sound different enough to know who is speaking. The story is solid with a good plot and a few interesting twists. The character building is good and you end up caring about them which should happen with all stories.

Great Read that goes by quick

I was wrapped up in the story from beginning to end. The second half of the book, I just stopped listening to music and watching TV so I could continue to listen to this book. Great story perfectly read by Chris Abernathy!!

Fantastic !

I struggled with the first couple of chapters; mainly because I had just finished another audiobook, so the change in narrative put me off . But am so glad I continued. Would definitely recommend this audiobook !

Excellent story

Great story. Gripping from beginning to end. A couple of minor inconsistencies and events left unanswered but would recommend this book. The narrator was outstanding as well.
