There needs to be more stories like this brought to light by male victims . This book was validating in a world that is not very open to this cycle of abuse .
I can relate to almost everything in this story . It’s hard to accept and also still be in the final chapter of my current situation. To think what’s ahead after loosing my father unexpectedly and then my grandmother and dog can be almost paralyzing . Yet it’s the slap in the face I needed.
I do believe this book to be the start of my new story and a guide back to at least some resemblance of the person I used to be . I’m still in the infancy of being trauma bonded . I haven’t had much luck in articulating what happened to me .
