A Swoon Worthy Arrangement! Great Story & Listen🎧

Adriana Locke pens another fabulous romance novel, putting her own unique spin on the age-gap workplace, fake relationship trope, and I loved everything about it. The characters are the stars of this book and Locke definitely creates some of the best, and they are always easy to relate to and connect with. This second book of the “Brewer Family” series is Jason Brewer and Chloe Goodman’s story. A bee stung a seven-year-old Chloe while playing ball with Tate and Tate’s older brother Jason came to her rescue, becoming her hero and when she developed a crush on him then. Years later, Jason, the CEO of Brewer Air, hired her as his executive assistant. Chloe is a riot, while Jason is more on the serious side, but they work well together and have an effortless rapport. Chloe takes care of her grandmother and, despite a well-paying job, she has troubles with finances and making ends meet. Jason’s brother break his chops about closing in on 40 years old with no prospects to settle down with, so they nudge him with a bet on whether he will get married and that marriage would last six months. Chloe’s hardships get worse and when she hears about the bet, she realizes this may be the answer to her financial woes and steps up to say that she and Jason are getting married. Chloe, who does not believe in forever love, is happy with the six-month time frame and she thought Jason felt the same about forever love and relationships, but does he really? I loved all the layers of this story and how it all played out with a perfect balance of drama, charming humor and witty dialogue, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Adriana Locke, thank you for another amazing story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to what comes next for the Brewer family

🎧📚🎧   And for the wonderful audiobook narration, Amy McFadden and Sebastian York did a fabulous job bringing these characters and story to life and their portrayal of each character was perfection, with McFadden shining in her role as Chloe and York as the swoon worthy Jason. Each grasping every aspect of their characters’ personality, McFadden handled Chloe’s wit like a natural, as well as all her other traits, and York did the same in Jason’s role. Both were just as amazing performing the roles of all the secondary characters, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance elevates this already fabulous story to another level. Thank you for another amazing listen. 

Love wins!!

Once again Ariana Locke proves that she understands family dysfunction and family dynamics. Jason and Chloe start off as a bet but turn into so much more when the emotions come to the surface. The connection they both share seems to be understated but in the end is the strongest. Love, happiness and a future are intertwined in one great story. It was even better as an audiobook as Sebastian York and Amy McFadden brought the character to life. A great addition to the series, and I am looking forward to more.

A lovely addition to the series

Jason Brewer has known Chloe since she was 7 and her mother came to work as the family's housekeeper. She used to play with his younger siblings as she was much younger than him. When she gets older and needs a job, he immediately offers her a job as receptionist at Brewer Air and she went up the career ladder until she became his assistant. He finds her breathtaking but he keeps it all very respectful and professional. Little does he know bout Chloe finds him smoking hot but also keeps it to herself. 

All is well until Tate and Renn make a bet that Jason will never be able to find a wife and let alone stay married for six months. A hefty bet. Chloe overhears it and says she'll marry him if she can split the earnings. Jason is flabbergasted but he won't miss the opportunity, especially after learning why she desperately needs the money. A Vegas trip. A smoking wedding night... and soon Chloe starts thinking that a deadline for this marriage is not a good idea after all. 

I love how Adriana, even dealing with tough subjects, always makes her books FUN. I loved this childhood friends to lovers, age gap, marriage of convenience, workplace romance and I listened to the audiobook in one sitting.

Amy McFadden and Sebastian York narrated this one in dual style and it's a home run. Amy is perfect as the sassy determined Chloe and Sebastian can play the  grumpy billionaire like no other. 

If you love a story of meant to be lovers, with lots of family shenanigans, a grandma that is a hoot and half, being there when your brother needs you, this one is for you!

Love this story, loved the banter back and forth. The narrators were a good match both every believable as the characters.

The Arrangement is book #2 in the Brewer Family series. It is a dual POV, billionaire, age gap, friends to lovers, boss/employee, marriage of convenience romance.

Chloe is Jason Brewer’s Executive Assistant at Brewer Air. They have an innocent flirtation between them, but nothing more. Not that he doesn’t want more. He does. Chloe barely has time to do anything besides work and take care of her grandmother.

Jason’s brothers bet him that he won’t get married and stay married for six months. When Chloe learns of the bet she knows this could really help her and her grandmother. I love that she took it upon herself to say she would marry Jason. How can he say no when she is everything he has ever wanted? How can he convince her in staying forever?

I listened to the audio narrated perfectly by Amy McFadden and Sebastian York. Amy McFadden is a new to me narrator and I really enjoyed her narration. She fit Chloe perfectly.

Entertaining

I couldn’t wait to jump into The Arrangement which is Jason Brewer and his executive assistant Chloe’s story.

As expected this was a well written, entertaining and passionate story that ticked all the boxes for me.

From the first chapter Ms. Locke wove a story that I couldn’t put down. The heat between them was intense, their banter witty. The fact that Jason is a bit of a grump and that Chloe is the the light in his life was an added bonus.

When they marry to win a bet, complications arise as feelings come to the surface.

The narration by Amy Mc Fadden and Sebastian York brought the characters to life for me. Their voices were easy to listen too and they brought all the passion, drama, romance and humour to their performances. I really felt Sebastian was spot on as Jason.

I'm not sure what it was about this one but I enjoyed this tremensely. the narrators just did a fabulous job and having me believe every word and thing they were saying they played their characters so well. and I'm not sure what it was about the story because this is a story of two people who've known each other their whole lives pretty much kind of fell out of touch but then came back in touch and she ended up working for him and just really had an attraction to one another but never crossed the line and then until they did. I think I enjoyed the story because the male characters character was one that just was so all about work and stuck up but not stuck up I don't want to say it that way just all about work I workaholic and because she was the assistant she worked just as much as he did so the fact that once they found one another it just flourished it was great.

Chloe, steadfastly believes she is destined to never find a good guy, has loved Jason since she was younger but never believed that he could love her as well. Though she doesn’t believe in love she is always taking care of Jason🥰

Chloe's spunky MiMi adds a delightful layer of charm. Her vibrant personality and the sweet way Tate hangs out with her inject a sense of warmth and familial love into the story….most of the time lol. Tate & MiMi in the golf cart are wreaking havoc on the neighborhood 😂

Loved Chloe and Jason!

The Arrangement by Adriana Locke was a sweet and sexy marriage of convenience/age gap romance that I devoured in one sitting. I couldn't get enough of Chloe and Jason's workplace romance and their hilarious, hot, and heartfelt journey to HEA.

Amy McFadden and Sebastian York performed this audiobook in dual narration. Amy captured Chloe's determined feisty personality perfectly as she went after what she truly desired. Sebastian's deep resonating tone encompassed Jason's loyal loving and charismatic demeanor. Both narrators created a longing and tension between Chloe and Jason was undeniable and meant to be!

Overall I enjoyed this book. If you are a fan of an age-gap romance with a hunky billionaire hero and a willing and alluring EA heroine with all the humorous family shenanigans, a Vegas wedding, all the steamy times, and a HEA that will simply make you smile, then you will love Chloe and Jason's romance! I always look forward to more from Adriana Locke.

I don't have words! I loved this book so much. I was consumed by this book from the moment I started listening!! The narrators are perfect!! Jason and Chloe are such a good match! I was rooting for them from the very beginning!! So glad they got their HEA! Mimi was AWESOME!! Love her! 💙💜
