Not a winner
The narration was ok but overall story pretty much could be summed up as lackluster. No gems, no characters with which one could connect. Seemed more like a quick audible production to create content.

Not worth the time
Poorly constructed story. The author's attempt to create suspense and tension totally fails. The protagonist getting "a creepy feeling" or "tingles on the back of my neck" over and over again, and for no particular reason, doesn't create suspense. Details about her past are vague and as they emerge, they are not particularly interesting. Characters that seemed ominous at first, became friendly, then ominous, then friendly -- it didn't make sense. Some of the scenes are simply illogical and unbelievable. The characters' voices were so similar it was sometimes difficult to remember who was speaking. I hung in there to the end because I had nothing better to do, but I frequently thought about just abandoning the book altogether.
