Great even if you're not off grid

I live out in the country, and I am not completely off the grid, but we do have a lot of really bad weather and can go days without power. This book definitely goes beyond just losing, but I found the information on energy independence to be really helpful for me to be able to prepare on my own and be ready. The book covers a lot of different topics, such as evacuations, learning to communicate when you are isolated, and even basic shelter-making skills. This book covered a lot of information that I felt was extremely helpful. We never know when a disaster might strike so why not at least educate yourself on how to be ready. You don't have to go overboard but should at least have additional knowledge on how to be prepared.
