Turkey is the key to understanding end time Bible prophecy. But very few understand. There is a battle brewing that will usher in the last days of the Church on earth, and will also bring a terrible time of trouble for Israel and the entire world! This battle is not some far off event, but these armies are already amassed today! According to Ezekiel chapter 38 Turkey will lead an Invasion into Israel along with Iran, Sudan, and Libya. All of these armies are fighting in Syria today. In 734 BC the Assyrians invaded Syria and then turned south to invade northern Israel. This ancient Assyrian invasion is a model for our present day Turkish led conquest of Syria and subsequent attack on northern Israel. Latter in 701 BC Assyria also invaded southern Israel. This time reaching all the way to the city limits of Jerusalem. This ancient Assyrian invasion is a model for the battle of Armageddon that happens at the end of the seven year Tribulation period. This future day invader of Israel is called "The Assyrian" in Isaiah chapter 10. The Assyrian also refers to the Antichrist! So we are talking about two separate invasions into Israel, both led by Turkey! The first invasion kicks off the biblical end time in earnest. The second battle marks the pinnacle of Israel's trouble and the return of Jesus Christ to abolish all of Israel's enemies. Somewhere in the midst of these events the Rapture of the Church takes place! Both of these battles are referred to as "The Battle of Gog and Magog" in Ezekiel chapter 38 and 39. Don't be confused. Magog was a prominent founder of the land we call Turkey today. Gog is Turkey, Magog is its leader. Ezekiel 38 describes the 1st Battle of Gog and Magog.
