  • Jigger Johnson and Crazy Mountain 100 Mile Recap
    Aug 9 2024

July was an amazing month filled with a ton of adventure. I was blessed with the opportunity to crew and pace and two amazing summer ultra marathons. First I headed up to the White Mountains of New Hampshire to pace the Jigger Johnson 100 milers put on by white mountain endurance and aravipia! Then I hopped on a plane and headed out to Montana to crew the Crazy Mountain 100 with the boys from Recovery Strong. In this episode I will talk about my experiences at this race and which one I will most likely take on. I will end the episode by telling you about my next adventure coming this week!

  • I Want To Be One Of The Best w/ Nicky Dupkin
    Jun 28 2024

This week I got to sit down with Long Island ultra runner Nicky Dupkin. Nicky isn't following the path of normal 20 year olds. While his peers are out chasing the night life, Nicky is in his bed at 7pm preparing for an early morning long run. Why? Simple put, he wants to be one of the best.

After finding out about running from Goggins, Nicky walked on to his college cross country team just wanting to get in shape and make some changes in his life. He had no idea that the world of ultra marathon even existed.

Fast forward 1 year, Nicky took 5th place in his first 50k with a sub 4:20 performance and 2nd at the Shore to Shore 50k here on long Island. By his own admission, he has a ton to learn and is very excited to see where more consistent training and experience will bring him.

I cant wait to see where this kid ends up. He has all the makings of a champion. It's not if, but when!

  • Snow Peaks 50 Mile Race Recap
    Jun 12 2024

This past week I took on the Snow Peaks 50 Miler formerly known as the Squaw Peak 50 Miler in Provo Utah. Coming from Long Island I was blown away by the views and terrain.

I definitely didnt have the race that I was hoping for as performance. The heat and altitude sure did get the best of me, but with the help of some friends and an amazing pacer I was able to get to the line!

In this episode I want to break down the highs and lows of the race and some things I will take away from it to help you in your next race.
