  • 61. Busting Dieting Myths: The Real Deal on Weight Loss for Moms with Esther Avante
    May 24 2024

Text me your best "Burnt Pancakes" story for a chance to be featured on the podcast!

Struggling to shed those stubborn pounds after entering the fabulous 40s, or finding yourself lost in the maze of health advice post-motherhood?

Today, weight loss coach Esther Avant joins me to unravel the secret to sustainable weight loss that doesn't hinge on an all-or-nothing approach. Together, we're debunking diet myths and honing in on the mindset shifts that make all the difference. From Esther's insights as a mom and fitness expert to my own tales from the trenches of parenthood, we're getting real about transforming our health habits for the long haul.

Ever feel like you're juggling too much to even think about exercise or proper nutrition? We've been there, and that's why we're simplifying the game. We're talking 'big rock habits,' those key routines that can steer your wellness ship in the right direction, minus the overwhelm. Esther and I break down the essentials of an effective health routine, focusing on daily movement, the role of protein and fiber, and the importance of rest. We're providing you with the tools—like a handy habit tracker—to help slot these habits into your bustling life, one manageable step at a time.

But it's not all step counts and protein grams; we're peeling back the curtain on the subtle elements of weight loss too. Think intermittent fasting, the art of daily weigh-ins, and mastering the mid-afternoon munchies. Our dialogue offers strategies for incorporating grab-and-go protein options into your day and approaches the often-tricky subject of body image and self-talk.
