    Dr. Janina Scarlet is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, an award-winning author, TEDx speaker, and a creativity coach. She immigrated to the United States from Ukraine at the age of 12 with her family and later, inspired by the X-Men, developed Superhero Therapy to help patients with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Dr. Scarlet is the recipient of the Eleanor Roosevelt Human Rights Award by the United Nations Association for her work on Superhero Therapy. Her work has been featured on Yahoo, BBC, NPR, Sunday Times, CNN, CW, ABC, The New York Times, Forbes, and many other outlets. She regularly consults on books and television shows, including HBO’s The Young Justice. She was also portrayed as a comic book character in Gail Simone’s Seven Days graphic novel.     Patricia Elizarraraz is a licensed clinical social worker. She has over 15 years of social work experience across hospital, community, and private practice settings.

    Drawn to the field of mental health early on, Ms. Elizarraraz completed her Bachelor of science in Human services at cal state university Fullerton in 2006. She then obtained her Masters of Social Work from cal state university Fullerton in 2009. She has experience working with schizophrenic clients in a hospital and mental health setting for over 10 years. She has gone on to complete additional training in a wide variety of areas, including trauma focused behavioral cognitive therapy, parent child interaction therapy and functional family therapy.

    When she’s not seeing patients, Ms. Elizarraraz enjoys hiking, dancing, and travelling as often as possible.
